As Long As It Lasts

Would it take a long walk through an evergreen forest?
Branches swaying gently, the weather at its best?
Meet me in trance so that I can open my heart and tell you
I love you head over heels and will always stay through
In the darkness of the night and in blinding light
Down the rugged mountains or oceans of great might
Through dusk till dawn, you will have me by your side
With all my strength to bring your slightest pain to subside
To simmer you, to heal you, to help you to love you
Not only because I want to but also cause I need to
As you are the breeze to me in scorching heat
The spring showers that newly blossoms greet
The dew drops embellishing the roses in faintly lit sky
The wings that carry little birds as they learn to fly
Perhaps your existence wasnt merely coincidence
Or me finally heeding to your undying persistance
And I know the grains are falling down the hour glass
But I hope we take it through, as long as it lasts...
