Know what calm before the storm is?
It is that subtle serenity one doesn't witness
Unless its a presage of an unseen mayhem
Waiting to tear down your rosy realm.
A disguised omen but how can one unmask?
Isn't a little peace what we always ask?
A merry visitor before any evil, a sanctuary for broken
Only momentarily but how often are we not mistaken?
Its like an ephemeral art on the sand
Soon washed by the tides hitting land
Blowing away worries gently as zephyr
So you may relax and feel a little safer.
And be absorbed in bliss so unusual
Like the resplendent world inside the oceans, unreal
For those who have never jeopardized and dived in
But for those who dare and eventually win.
So remember for the ventures of life are never a smooth sail
There will be storms and an unexpected calm before every storm...
