I Have Lost Faith In Humanity
To the point it drives me to insanity.
It was long time ago I saw love
But now there's only abyss, nothing below nor above.
Alas! I have lost faith in humanity.
When discrimination cements the walls of your mind,
You see women an object to play and unwind.
Now all I see are those fake smiles of assurance plastered
Or a cluster of malicious ones from those who're bittered.
Alas! I have lost faith in humanity.
Friendship comes but disguising enemy behind
Never know when your 'angel' might stab your hind.
The love of your life can turn out to be your worst nightmare.
Your friend could someday your death will bear.
Alas! I have lost faith in humanity.
Secrets no longer remain private
In this world of envy and hatred filled mate.
Confiding in one can turn out to be your biggest mistake
Because a hidden motive lays the foundation of every relation at stake.
Alas! I have lost faith in humanity.
Getting money, power and fame in one night,
One can easily stoop to depths seeing no wrong nor right.
Tender kids can be killed as easily as a beetle
And innocent lives be scorched to death for pride a little.
Alas! I have lost faith in humamity.
Trust is now a long lost virtue
Seeking refuge in the corners of the shattered remenants of nobility in you
When demons recline on the highest of the chairs
All hailed and declared, no glares.
When lies seem to be truth and given respect,
The world can be viewed in only one aspect;
A shattered-fragmented solace for remaining good you see
While a new kingdom for the rise of the devils it be.
Alas! I have lost faith in humanity...

This is just another normal poem I imtended to publish during the days of my exams as I can't write anything big or special right now. So sorry if this isn't up to your expectations. In Sha Allah I will come up with a better one as my exams get over.
