"Will you be my valentine?"
He asked with eyes gleaming hope
So captivating that I want to make him mine
Oh dear, why would I ever say 'nope'?
But I fear,
For there'll always be a 'but' in my heart
I have a few questions, say will you hear?
Cuz I cant let one more heartbreak tear me apart.
Say, would you love me forever unconditionally?
A love that'll keep defining me till posterity
Would you take my hand and walk the bridge over fire
Be my umbrella to the rain or the air that forests respire?
And lie not
And promise that with me you'll tie the knot
Assure me this isnt another temporary commitment
Hope I dont wake up to find you gone leaving me groping in the dark vent.
Would you dab my wounds with your warmth and care
Would you stay awake the whole night and my rants you bear?
Will you be honest and pour your soul in me like I did?
Cuz darling, its honesty that makes the foundation solid
Stand by me
Against all odds and criticisms even evil whispers
Accept me for who I am inside and let me live free
Not bound by your constraints, say would you not put me under your tests?
Will I be someone you'll never forget?
A permanent resident of your heart's deepest cave
Will you keep this going forever and somebody else in between you never let?
Cuz dear you are the one who would my heart, save
Perhaps the biggest question
Would you not end this one day and claim you never felt the same way
Making a fool of myself leaving me helpless and cursing myself everyday
Cuz I'm not a piece of your game, my feelings cant be played with again...
Say, would you never break your promises?
Cuz only then I'd say 'yes'....
