Logan agreed to be my right hand man in exchange for his freedom. His work was to gather necessary information to clear my name. Once that was done, i would go back to my normal life. The life i had with Henry.

He began opening the envelope. "It all goes back to the night of the explosion. You were framed for killing the CEO of Smith industries who was also your father. And then, Rose decided to fight your case. Now look, there are two possibilities here. One, it's either the culprit wanted you out of the way or wanted Rose out of the way. I did some research and it turns out Rose found evidence that could turn the case around to your favour. It's quite unfortunate we'll never know what it is." He paused to stare at me.

That night i decided to escape from prison. I found out i was pregnant and i freaked out. I couldn't think straight anymore. An in-mate gave me info on how both of us could escape. I was desperate, so i followed her plan. She said a red van would wait for us outside the prison and she told me to go ahead and she would follow behind.

I didn't know Rose had come to see me that night. While i was hiding from the guards, Rose saw me escaping and she followed me. She tried to reason with me but i didn't heed. If i had listened to her, the real culprit could have been behind bars and she would be alive.

He began placing picture evidences on the desk as he spoke. "The owner of the van was a woman, Dina Monterey. She's a retail trader in a small town not so far from here. She lives alone and has no children or husband or relative. The most important detail is... she's been missing for seven months and her neighbors saw her last while driving her van out."

"She's been missing since the explosion, Logan." I said, while going through the pictures. "The next step is to find Dina. And to do that i need to speak with Bethany."

"Who's Bethany?" He enquired.

"She's the lady who gave me the info on the escape plan and... I really would want to know why Bethany would send me into van that had a bomb in it."

"Is Logan gone?" Marc asked as i took my seat on the dinning.

"Yes, of course." I answered briefly.

Silence lingered in the air and i could sense eye contact between Paulina and Marc. I began to eat my lunch when Marc cleared his throat.

"Is something wrong?" I asked, carefully eying the mother and son.

"Nothing, of course." Marc said while he played with the contents of his plate. I knew he'd lied though, this was the sarcastic Marc right now.

"Marc..."

"Look, i get you're a criminal lawyer and all. But... i don't understand when you began rolling with the criminals, the dirty ones."

I scoffed. "Come on, Marc. Are we going to have this discussion again?"

"Marc, please. Not now." Paulina pleaded.

He pushed his plate to the side, clearly irritated. "Do you think hanging out with a criminal is the right thing for our son to learn?"

"Woaw, woaw hold it up. Hanging out? We're working Marc, how many times do i need to explain that to you?"

"We have a child Rose, a seven year old son. He's young and naive, he watches and looks up to us." He said, pointing at Zayne who ate his food quietly as he watched his parents raising their voices.

"What are you trying to say? I care about Zayne more than anything in this world and i would never feed him anything that's not good for him. I am his mother."

"Rose, please," Paulina tried to intercede.

"Logan, that man is a criminal Rose." He said, as low as a whisper, not wanting Zayne to hear it.

"People change Marc!" I yelled, pissed. "Just like when you did, when you were busy traveling the world, abandoning the family then suddenly coming back to play the role of the caring husband you ought to be, seven years ago."

The table went silent on every side as he suddenly became stiff. That hit him. And with that, i exited the dinning with Zayne.

Months after being unable to speak because i wasn't sure of what the real Rose would say, i stumbled across her diary. I knew it was wrong but i was desperate. If they'd find out who i really was, all my efforts would be for nothing.

I studied the diary well to be able to act like Rose. While reading through i found out about Marc and Rose's affair. It appears Rose wasn't happy with Marc's absence and abstaining attitude to their marriage. Marc was a successful business man who traveled around the world investing in companies, buying shares, buying bankrupt companies, rebuilding and turning them into a huge profit. So, he was rarely at home.

Rose had tolerated his actions and was now used to how Marc lived his life after their marriage. Though she still longed for him, she converted that emotion into her work and Zayne. Marc would come home twice in a month and it'll be no issue. Until, the bomb incident. When Marc had heard about the incident, he was so worried he left all his work, for the first time in seven years for Rose's sake. The thought of loosing Rose scared him to his guts. Deep down, beneath his busy lifestyle, he cared deeply for her.

Ever since, Marc wouldn't leave Rose's side.

Which unfortunately, was now my side.

He'd always want to know what i do, where i go, what i eat, who i call and who i meet.

He got so clingy, and it makes me sick.
