Chapter 15-Breathe

Hii !! Sorry guys for the length Im really trying to update, but as I start writing my head wants to reveal everything but after this chapter, it shouldn't be any more short chapters. All of the next chapters are going to be essential to the plot and not feelers!

Chapter 15- Breathe

Charley's POV

After the meeting, Aiden ordered everyone to clear out which they did promptly the small woman was the only one that was reluctant to leave she gave one more wary look and left out.

"How do you feel?" his sharp voice was above a whisper and he placed a reassuring hand on my now trembling shoulders

I needed that comfort and I took several calming breaths before responding

"None.. of this makes sense. Who would go through all this? Aiden I have Noone ..Im a Nobody !Mason was all I had and he...he..hee" I couldn't even get the words out as my throat began to close up agian and my eyes started to water

"He was all I had..." I tried to soothe myself to continue

"Aiden do you understand? I thought I had no one! Not since my grandmother died almost 9 years ago, Then one day while leaving your office I got the horrific call about my brother."

I took another breathe my heart was racing again

"My brother " I shook my head at his memory "Someone who I thought had passed away years ago, was no longer with us but his son survived...They let me be his guardian. He made me feel something Aiden!" I partly screamed out at the bittersweet recollection 

"Mason reminded me so much of my brother it made my heart fill up and every day that I got to spend with him I truly cherished and someone came in and took my joy away...It is truly taking everything in me not to give up right now" The words rushed out of me like vomit

"It is only so many losses one person can endure. I hate that I feel so weak and helpless to this unknown threat and I hope and pray you and your team have a plan to have to find my nephew."I huffed out and placed a now tired head on his shoulder.

It was a long silence

'We have a plan.. but part of it includes using resources that have never been seen in the public eyes...Charley, do you remember when you asked me what I did for a living ?"

I just nodded my head  it wasn't that  long ago

"That's why I brought you here it'll be better to show you than to tell exactly what I do"

I left a tired eye to him

He actually looked worried. What exactly was he about to tell me?

Aiden POV

I stared at the woman that I once bared my heart out to. It seemed almost like a dream where we living together. Now it seems like a pure nightmare Charley still bruised face stared at me patiently. I sighed trying to figure out a way to explain what I do. I was actually apprehensive to tell her what I do for a living..How asinine!

I started to walk around 

"Charley you asked me earlier where we were ..of course, at my home..my home in South Africa," I said that tidbit of information letting it sink in. I mean anyone would be shocked to wake up almost 8,000 miles away from their home.

She didn't give me any reaction. Not even a gasp

So I continued "Where in South Africa.. because this is my main headquarters and also where the training starts for my staff" I was still very blase about what I was going to say

Still, no reaction she was eyeing me with wonder

"I own my own private military....mercenaries... The Price family.. bread and butter comes from war" That got a reaction
