Chapter 3-Clarity

I was muscling through the pleasantries of speaking to the gang of my friends who seem almost like strangers to me. I half-listened as the group gushed over upcoming plans I agreed to do after 15 minutes of minimum replies from me. Aiden finally let us break from the gathering of we all to meet up later on in the week.

"We have a doctors appointment to be heading too" he whispered lowly into my ear

We were now heading towards Samuel; I just nodded my head and entered the car. I wasn't in the mood for an examination or questions because try as I might, I had zero answers.

"Whose my OBGYN?" I could feel his eyes burn into the back of my skull as I ignored his anxious look

"It is normally Dr. Ameilia Rashad, but because of the special situation they referred me to a new doctor for today's session " he huffed "They refused to give me the new doctors name "

The remaining ride to the doctors was silent, and I avoided any means of eye contact how you can tell a doctor you dont recall the past four years of your life?

Images of me being locked away in a crazy home flashed through my head ...Aiden moving on with his life shipping MJ off to some boarding school because he didn't sign up to be Married to a crazy person... Again a sickening feeling started to form, the taste of acid starts to bubble and burn the back of my throat

Im worrying myself sick over something I can't control, I took small shallow breathes to calm the mini panic attack I was having, and that helped ease the acid that was building up in my stomach

Just woosha ..I can do this. I kept repeating as Aiden ushered us through the hospital doors. After what felt like forever, we approached the Obstetrics/Gynecology side of the large hospital.

Aiden grabbed my hand "It is going to be okay" he announced

Yeah, he's going to have me committed. I should just run now before I could move the door swung open and an elderly stern looking nurse approached "Mr. and Mrs. Price I presume" she said with a posh English accent

"That's is correct."

"Perfect, right on schedule, Dr. Mikhailov is waiting for you both ill escort you there."

The walk was short and just as quick as her arrival, the unnamed nurse left.

As we walked into, the doctor was already there with another much younger nurse as his Aide. Immediately the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. The man didn't look familiar, but my body instantly reacted.

"Have we met with him before?" I quickly whispered before the doctor noticed our arrival

"No, and I'm very unhappy that they referred us to a MALE doctor, "Aiden half-shouted, which caused the doctor and the nurse to turn around.

Instant alarm hit my body again, and for the first time since I woke up, I felt scared.....This man wasn't menacing-looking he was about 5'9 maybe 5'10 slim yet fit build, very pale almost paper-like in color, yet with fiery red locks of hair and dark eyes

He smiled as he approached the examiner's table and a wave of deja vu hit I seen that smile before.

"Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Price !" he said with a thick accent. "I'll be your doctor today, Nikhil Mikhailov" He extended his hand. I instantly recoiled from him

Aiden brushed off my reaction and met his hand. The doctor gave me a knowing smile and continue talking, "So what brings you two in today ?"

"Well, Charley, do you want me to start ?"
