Rapid Heartbeats

Alastor gave me a surprised look as my arms wrapped around his neck. A deep blush crept across his face when he realized how close our faces were to each other.

"Um," His smile seemed to falter just a bit. 

"Sorry," I said, blushing a bit myself as I took a step back. I looked up at him, hoping I hadn't offended. 

 "It's quite alright," Alastor reassured me, eyes watching my every movement. We stood there for a moment, seemingly frozen in time. 

Then, very slowly, Alastor took a step towards me. Almost timidly, he wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me towards him. I looked up into his crimson gaze, heart beating fast. My breath hitched as he lowered his lips to brush softly against mine. Time seemed to move even more slowly as I leaned into the gentle kiss, closing my eyes. He tasted like the wine we had drunk during dinner. A moment later, he drew back, his eyes searching mine with a soft gaze. 

I couldn't think of what else to do, so I gave him a gentle smile. Alastor seemed to take that as a good sign and pulled me closer. I placed my hands against his warm chest, feeling his heart beating just as rapidly as mine. 

As I stood there in his arms, I couldn't believe it. I had kissed the Radio Demon.
