Taehyung steps into the silent apartment with two shopping bags in his hands, feeling like his arms might fall off. He gently places the bags by the door and closes the door, still not hearing any word from Jungkook.
"Jungkook?" Taehyung calls out, but still hears no response. "I'm home!"
As Taehyung goes to take off his shoes, he notices that Jungkook's shoes aren't where they usually are. His eyebrows knit together and his hands start to become sweaty, panic swarming through his veins.
Without hesitation, he sprints to their bedroom and swings the door open, noting that Jungkook isn't there. With panic, he checks the wardrobe and, to his surprise, Jungkook's clothes aren't there. Taehyung's shirts and hoodies are the only clothes that hang in the dark wardrobe, feeling lonely without the other's clothes pressed against his.
Taehyung turns around and finally starts to let everything sink in. He collapses onto the floor, hands pulling at his hair, tears gathering in his eyes quicker than he expected them to.
Taehyung feels so helpless because he realises that Jungkook's left him.
