Mabel had wondered off by herself, which was normal here recently. During this time, she noticed this odd purple creature, who seemed very sad and lonely. It was friendly, however, so despite Dipper's protests she brought it home and kept it in her room.
What she didn't expect to wake up and see Tom curled up in the corner, dead asleep, right where the monster was last night.
