Dib sighed deeply, fixing his glasses as the alien yelled at him in his unknown tongue. He's picked up on a few things during his time with the alien.

For example, whenever he called him by his code number, 013(o-thirteen), he'd start yelling and eventually start repeating the sound "Zim" until the scientist repeated it. He figured it was his name, and eventually started calling him that when the other scientists weren't around, which was most of time.

Whenever he made the hissing noise, it was because someone tried touching his antenna. Zim always at least seemed a little thankful whenever Dib would stop them.

And most of all, Zim actually seemed to understand any threat even if it lacked physical violence. It was clear that Zim's speech wasn't just gibberish, and this helped prove he had higher intellect.

Lately, however, the other scientists refused to believe this. They wanted him to... DISCECT Zim!

He continues to stall, trying his hardest to finish his communication device in secret, like he is now. The thought of what he'd have to do if he ran out of time...

It gave him nightmares.

Still, the alien didn't understand that. How could he, they had no way to communicate. Still he tried.

"Calm down, Zim. If they know I'm in here working, we're both in trouble..." He scolds the angry alien, though not exactly blaming him.
