Chapter 56

Angel, deciding that Ruby and Silver deserves way more credits then her mother says they do decides to rebuild the moon temple "Bit more to the right" she says so Drake and Opal move it a bit to the right "Perfect" Angel says so the two lower the roof "I'm glad you already added the statues" Drake says "But Raven too?" "Yeah they're siblings right?" Angel asks "Ra and Luna have statues, everyone has them besides those three" "True, Ra and Luna kept them out of the public when it came to that, speaking of the devil", Ruby lands next to Angel "Rebuilding?" she asks "It's pretty awesome" "Uh... Drake and Opal helped me out" Angel says with a slight blush, Ruby didn't praise things too often, but that changed a bit when she finally got her wish "If you designed that without help Angel then I really need to talk about what those two are teaching you" Ruby comments dryly "Any of you seen Raven?" "The maze, where else?" Opal asks "Checked already" Ruby says with a sigh "The winter lake then, she likes the snow" Drake adds so Ruby heads off again, making the other three sigh in relief "We almost done?" Opal asks "Just add the windows and then we're done" Angel says with a smile.

Angel drags the three to Egypt and Raven raises an eyebrow seeing the material that the temple is made from "It's adaptable" Drake says "Can't break, we tested that, now go inside", Silver, not exactly sure what to expect, pushes the heavy door open and he wants to say something, but can't think of anything "He's speechless, now I'm curious" Ruby says and she raises an eyebrow "I'm surprised" she says "Mom and dad talked about it, but they could never agree" "So, do you guys like it?" Angel asks "Of course we do" Silver says and he laughs "You beat your cousin to it, his pride prevented him from asking help". "Dad I fini- Oh" Sky says "She beat me to it" he adds "Well yeah, I asked for help" Angel says "What do you think?" "It's better then mine" Sky mumbles hiding the papers, but Raven grabs them "It's not bad" she says with a sigh "But-" "Benches?" Angel asks "With how things change that actually makes sense" she adds "I guess I didn't think of that, I feel stupid" "You're not stupid" Ruby says "You will be one of the best rulers Egypt has ever seen" she adds with a smile "Just ignore Mana's advise sometimes" "Already doing that" Angel points out "But do you know what she's planning next? She keeps avoiding me" "No" Silver says "Ruby's been busy training our new generation of gods in fighting, Atem's teaching them different uses of their magic along with Mokuba, so we've all been busy" "What about Seto?" Angel asks "Well Sapphire would have his head if he left right now" Ruby says "Although she's in a bad mood anyway, wanna know what she did to Opal and Drake when they were playing around? Send them to Evelyn" "That bad?" Sky asks "Yeah, does anyone remember where the stone slab is with the blue eyes?" Ruby asks "I remember, let's go" Silver says.

With Ruby's huge amount of magic she can do what Sapphire once failed, but she has to strain herself "Why is putting them in these things so much easier?" Ruby asks after she's done and Silver catches her "I'll be fine" she says, there in the middle of the rubble lies Kisara and Silver smiles before calling Sapphire down "What's so important- Ruby what did you do?" "What you failed" Ruby says as she's pulled up by Silver "Look over". Sapphire doesn't know what to say "B-but why would you-" "Because he's family, doesn't matter which timeline it is, sure we've had our differences about Atem and what not, but that's normal" Ruby says "So you take Ruby back home" Silver says "No, I'll take Kisara" Sapphire says. When she arrives at the palace Sapphire looks around before spotting Seth "Seth" she says getting his attention, the priest goes quiet seeing who Sapphire has with her "I didn't do it" she says "You should thank Ruby" she adds when the priest raises an eyebrow at her first sentence "Of course" Seth says with a smile "I will thank her when I see her again".

A few days later Ruby ends up lounging on a bench in Domino city, in front of the game store, in her cat form and she yawns when Solomon puts down a strawberry milkshake on the table "You don't fool me" he comments so Ruby changes into her human form "What brings you here?" he asks when she takes the milkshake "Escaping Sapphire's wrath" she says "And it's actually pretty boring when everyone is busy" she adds moving to the side a bit "How are things here?" "Yugi's still devestated that he lost the puzzle, he's dating Téa, finally. Joey and Mai are engaged" Solomon says. "In my defense, I had to take it, I did eventually destroy the items" Ruby says and she looks at the sky "Angel's doing fine on her own, well, she has Ash around to keep her company" "Ash being..." "The son of Sakura and Jack". When Yugi comes back looking down he plops down on the chair "Grandpa" he says "Did I do something wrong? Téa left early" "Did you keep talking about Atem again?" Solomon asks "Not that much" Yugi says, making Ruby clear her throat "Who're you?" Yugi asks "Ruby" she answers "Also, think I can bring some milkshakes home for the others, I know someone who's been trying to make them himself" "I don't think bringing some with you is a smart idea" Solomon says, once the girl is satisfied it's empty she tosses it in the trash before sitting back down "I know what will brighten your lives" she says looking at the two "The museum!" she adds seeing Yugi's confused look "N-now?" Yugi asks "Yeah, why not? I mean, your date ditched you and you seemingly can't stop talking about Atem" she says, when he looks even more confused she gets up and drags him along "Come on, you can talk to me you know". Yugi is confused why this random familiar looking girl wants to spend time with him after his date was ruined "Miss Knight, new shipments" a guard says making Ruby nod "I'll get to that later", when Yugi enters the usually locked room he's met with Mokuba and someone he doesn't recognize. "Evelyn, great of you to help out" Ruby says walking over "We're almost finished with this" Mokuba says and Yugi just stares at the room "Hey Yugi, long time no see" Mokuba says waving at him "But how are you guys in here? It was locked" "Ruby gave me a spare key" Mokuba says "Evelyn is just helping me out" "Bella told me to leave before Sapphire forced me to stay as well, poor Seto" Evelyn says, so Ruby turns on the main lights. "This is going to open in a few days" Yugi says and he walks to the statues put carefully in a corner "Mokuba, you done with the paintings?" "Yeah" Mokuba says so the two goddesses start putting them on the wall "Who knew he could paint though?" Evelyn asks "Don't touch the statues Yugi" "I did, usually it's late at night when most are asleep, he took it from mom" Ruby answers "So can you-" "Yes, but not a word to anyone". When Ruby show Yugi around after helping the two they see Téa "Yugi there you are!" she says running over "No running in the museum" Ruby says dryly "I'm sorry" she says before turning to Yugi again "Sorry I walked off, it's just-" "You want me to shut up about Atem, everyone misses him, I get that, but..." Yugi trails off "If I recall correctly" Ruby says while dusting off a painting frame "You had the biggest crush on him", when the young dancer realizes who Ruby is exactly she asks "What's a goddess doing here with my boyfriend?" "Boyfriend you left hanging, also I don't mind if he talks about Atem, might give me some more blackmail materials" when the two raise an eyebrow they earn a grin "Just kidding, I wouldn't stoop that low. Also as to what I am doing here, I'm the owner of the museum, don't touch, break or run into anything, don't run, no yelling". Ruby keeps an eye on them and she sighs when Evelyn walks over "Should we get him or would that make it worse?" the healer asks "At this point it can't get any worse Evelyn", when Ruby sees Atem talking to Mokuba she hugs him "Yugi misses you, Téa's annoyed and about to leave him hanging, again" she says "Lead the way then" he says taking her hand. Téa sees Atem before Yugi does "Miss me?" he asks with a grin, making Yugi turn around "Don't faint on us" Ruby says "And I guess I should apologize for taking the puzzle years ago, but if I hadn't you wouldn't be able to see him again" "So that cat was you?" Yugi asks earning a nod "Eh, yeah, but we had just saved everyone cause Silver killed Seth, the god, and because of the fact he went missing we became guardians of some humans, we weren't, Mike made you lose the duel, forcing Atem to stay with you".
