C H A P T E R 16

Kia Jones

Kia bounced her leg up and down as she leaned against the couch. When she walked in she found Dom laid out in a pool of water surrounded by a pill bottle and empty liquor bottles. When he wouldn't awake she panicked. She checked his pulse and sighed in relief. She stuck her finger in his mouth that caused him to throw up.

"Kia!" Kia snapped out of her thoughts and glared at Webb

"Girl don't be looking at me like that." Webb said mugging her back

He shook his head and continued mopping the water off of the floor.

"What boy?" She asked rolling her eyes

"Bit– they calling you girl." Webb told her

Kia nodded, she stood to her feet and walked towards the back where the bathroom was. She leaned against the door frame and watched as Lamonte and Eddy helped Dom.

"My g that shit was stupid as fuck. I said I got you men." Eddy said as he rubbed Dom stomach

"Nigga you big trippen. Hell you drink anyways?" Lamonte asked passing him the bread that was in his hands

Dom bit it and had the urge to throw up again. "Let that shit out." Eddy said patting his stomach

"Y'all needed me?" She asked making her presence known

"Uh yeah can you call Senior?" Lamonte asked her

Dom shook his head no. Kia walked up to him and ran her hand through his hair as she rubbed his head.

"Dom your going to have to face him eventually."

Dom sat up and groaned. "I'm straight." He mumbled his voice coming out hoarse

"D–." He cut her off

"Kia leave it alone damn. You can go now. I don't associate with liars."

"I was just trying to he–."

"Kia please get out, nobody told you to walk in here in the first place, you shoulda let me die."

Kia ignored the tears that were threatening to fall. "Dom." Eddy said

"Chill out brah, all that attitude uncalled for. She was just trying to help you out, at the end of the day there's no papers so that's still yo wife." Lamonte told him

Dom sucked his teeth and stood up only to hunch back over. "Fuck my body jerking for?"

"Nigga you popping pills and shit, shit gon' take some type of affect on yo body." Eddy said placing his hand on his back

Kia blinked, she cleared her throat. "I guess I'll go Dom, I'm s–."

"No stay please." He mumbled

They turned they head and looked at him like he was crazy. "Nigga you bipolar or something?"

"Whew child you need help."

"Professional help at that." Eddy added in his two cents and Lamonte agreed

Kia kissed Dom cheek and walked out of the bathroom. She walked back into the living seeing Webb making his way towards the door.
