**Lexi's Pov.**

Time went completely still.
I was positive it had to due with the sound of Monty screaming.
The only one's I knew who had the time stop ability.
Was Joshua and Jace.
I wasn't sure who else had it.
But I knew Jace heard his mate scream.
And that was why he was here, literally ripping heads off bodies.

That Ruby girls head went flying as soon as Jace got down here, and Adrian ran faster than Jace could even use his ability.
My heart was stuck in my throat and it was impossible to swallow.

Jace's eyes fell on Joshua's body.
And from the look on Monty's face.
It was killing me that the words were not coming out.
To say something.
To say anything in that matter.

Jace stared at Joshua's body before his eyes met with Monty's.
He came into the cell.
Immediately wrapping his arms around the smaller of the two.
Breathing him in.
"Joshua will be fine, Monty." He told him.
Monty dug his nails into the others arm, his eyes glued on his other mates body.
Looking traumatized.
"He was nearly killed, because of me." He hissed bitterly.

Jace took the other by the shoulders, locking eyes.
"This? This was not because of you, do not blame yourself for what happened to Joshua. Monty, he will be okay." He was trying his best to reassure the other.
But Monty wasn't listening to him.
He was spacing out, and any time Monty spaced out.
He tuned out every single thing around him.
Just like when his younger brother died.
Even though he had everyone around him.
Monty tuned us out.
Completely.

"Monty, look at me." Jace commanded the other.
Monty looked at him, tears in his eyes.
"Why are they after me?" He asked him now.
Jace blinked.
"They're no-"
"Don't lie!" Monty hissed at him as his voice broke.
Jace's brows furrowed.
"We don't really understand why, she wants you because you're gifted." He told him.
Monty's eyes searched the others.
"But I'm not, there's nothing special about me Jace! I'm just like everyone else here." He hissed.

Jace frowned softly.
"I know baby, calm down." He pressed his lips to the others forehead.
Closing his eyes as he held the other tight.
Before looking to us.
"Were either of you bit or hurt?" He asked us.
I shook my head, looking to Sage who shook hers as well.
"No." She said.
He nodded as his eyes fell back on Monty.

"That bitch is chained up in our lower basement." He announced now.
I made a face.
"You have a lower basement?" I questioned.
Jace glanced to me.
"You never know when you'll need it, we also captured that fucker known as Abel. He was more of a fight than she was, but they're in two different cells." He explained with his arms crossed.

Monty frowned at him.
"What about the other followers of hers?" He asked him.
Jace frowned.
"We'll kill them just as easily as the rest. No hesitation." He told him now.
Monty nodded as his eyes fell back on Joshua.
"Can you bring him to our room so he can rest?" He requested.
Jace nodded looking at him.

"I want you three to stay in our room as well, its no longer safe in the cell." Jace told us.
I frowned.
"What about Luther and Irina? Won't they get mad?" I asked him with crossed arms.
Jace glanced to me as he walked out of the cell.
"I'll talk with them about this, if vampires can come down here this easy. You're more safe when they can sense you closer, Irina will appreciate my consideration towards the two of you." He shrugged walking over to Joshua's body.
Scowling for a moment, before tossing the other over his shoulder, like he was nothing.

Height wise? Joshua was a tree and Jace was a few inches shorter.
Weight? Joshua was well built so it had to be the vampire strength, or else Jace wouldn't of possibly been able to do that.

"Lets go. Monty, I want you to stay behind them and to be on your guard. Can you do that for me?" He requested.
Monty nodded as his eyes fell on me and Sage.
----
Walking upstairs, everything seemed to calm down.
Except for the screams that were echoing below us.
They captured Deidre.
She was in their custody.
Would more vampires come to save her?
Or would she give up this time.
And just die.
