David's Point Of View

"Jeff?!"

halos mapaatras ako nang makita si Jeff. I looked at him with disbelief and gulped hard. Nalipat rin ang tingin ko sa kasama niya na seryoso lang kaming tinitignan. 

halos manghina ang tuhod ko nang mabaling saakin ang atensyon ni Jeff, I saw how his eyes widened and bit his lower lip, refraining himself to cry. 

"Kuya..."

I avoided his gaze and stopped myself from crying. 

How can he do this? I didn't let him to be with Mom just to do this. What happened to my brother?

"what do you think you're doing? bakit ka sumali sakanila? are you out of your mind, ha Jeff?!" I shouted in anger which I instantly regret when he started crying. 

I silently shook my head and hugged him, God, I missed my brother so much.

I know that he has skills but I've never thought that he will use it against others. He's my brother and our gangmate before.

"David.." He hugged me tighter as I felt my shirt getting wet because of his tears.

I hushed him and hugged him again. God, its been so long.

"Bakit ka sumali sakanila? Just answer me please.."

humiwalay siya sa yakap at tinignan ako. "Dahil papatayin nila si mama kapag hindi ako sumali sakanila!"

unti unti akong napalunok at napalayo sakanila. I failed, I failed to protect them. What kind of son and brother am I?

"who are they?!" 

napaatras kaming lahat nang kwelyuhan ni Kate si Jeff, nakita ko ang pagdaan ng takot sa mga mata ni Jeff at tinignan si Keith na parang nanghihingi ng tulong. Yes, they are close.

Keith sighed. "Hon, stop." he held her hand.

required magharutan sa harap namin? really?

Kate sighed and looked at Jeff again. "just answer my goddamn question, Jeff. " she said seriously. "you're not like this before, what the goddamn hell happened to you?!'

nangunot ang noo namin at hindi makapaniwalang napatingin kay Kate na hanggang ngayon ay galit na galit pa din. I can sense that she's just stopping herself not to hurt Jeff. 

"what do you mean, Kate? You already know him?" Keith asked and I can sense the jealousy in his tone. 

She nodded. "he's my ex." 

napakurap kurap kaming lahat at napalayo kay Keith nang makita naming nagtitimpi na lang ito. Napalunok ako at tinaasan ng kilay si Jeff to ask if its true but he just nodded and avoided Keith's gaze.

"don't be jealous at my brother, man. Hindi niya aagawin si Kate saiyo, not my brother." I tapped Keith's shoulder but he just nodded., still not breaking his glare at my brother.

hinapit niya papalapit si Kate kaya natawa kami ni Louie ng mahina. "chill, walang aagaw dyan. Well, maliban kay Jonas." Louie said that made Kate shocked and shook her head. 

natawa kami ng mahina nang tignan kami ng masama ni Keith. If looks can kill, We'll be in our grave now. 

"aish, stop guys." pang-aawat ni Ken at pumagitna kila Jeff at Keith. 

damn, he's really jealous of my brother. 

"Keith, stop glaring." Kate said kissed him in front of us?!?!?!?!
