Chapter 5

Darryl POV

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Before they put me in here, I heard them talking." Zak said, "They said Vincent was in charge and second in command were Dave and Finn."

"So what do they want?" I asked.

Zak shrugged, "I don't know. They must've noticed that I was listening in on their conversation because they stopped talking."

"Have you tried to escape before?"

"I haven't tried but over the year I came up with a plan to get out of here." Zak replied.

We can get out.

I can go back home.

"But it's almost impossible."

My hope deflated.

"So what's the plan?" I asked him.

" I don't know if I should tell you because..." He trailed off.

"Because what?"

"What if you're with them?" Zak asked while backing up slightly, "What if this is just all a big trap?"

"It's not a trap I swear." I said.

"Seriously, after a year they randomly brought you here." Zak said.

"Maybe it was a sudden decision?" I asked.

"There's been two beds in this place since I got here." Zak said, "They were expecting to bring someone here."

"Maybe there's a different reason."

"What? They thought was going to sleep on two beds at once?" Zak deadpanned.

I sighed, "Can you at least give me an idea of what you'e going to doz."

Zak huffed, "Okay, bit I'm only giving you a vague explanation."

I smiled and he began to explain, "So we start off by..."
