~~LEAH

Everything was perfect now; I clutched the soft blanket to cover my chest seeing Tate was sitting at the foot of my bed with the blanket draped over his lap.

“Tate? Is everything okay?”I asked which I crawled up near him pressing my chin on his shoulder almost like he was in a trance.

“Everything is great, I didn’t wake you did i?” he wondered I couldn’t help but slightly chuckle. I turned his chin pressing my lips against his where he couldn’t help but smile.

“Its fine, I couldn’t sleep anyway.” I smiled where I swung my legs off the bed grabbing my fallen undergarments from the floor. I pulled on my bra across my chest and pulled up the underwear. I went to my dresser grabbing my pajama shorts from the bottom drawer before pulling my black tank top over my head. I turned to realize that Tate reapplied his clothes before I could notice. I turned to look at the clock seeing it was the mid-morning; I could hear my father’s voice in the distance. “You may want to disappear for a bit, if my father catches you here you know what will happen. You can stay here in your ghostly form but just stay calm until he is gone.” Tate smiled kissing my lips before I watched him dematerialize from the room leaving me in his physical form but I could still see him. I grabbed my journal from the side of the table before crawling onto my bed where Tate laid. I opened it preparing myself for my father in case he walked in drunk or something. I heard my door open seeing both my father and Dina both in the doorway looking at me.

“Leah…are you feeling any better?” Dina asked sincerely where I looked up from the journal seeing my father wasn’t too happy for skipping out on the ghost talk last night.

“I was overwhelmed by all of the ghosts here that’s all. They were making it hard to focus and when that happens I get overpowered. I’ll be fine for later when dad is ready for the next ghost group.” I explained where my father’s ears perked up hearing that there were a lot more ghosts here then he believed.

“You’ve seen other ghosts here?” he asked me where I looked up from what I was writing to see my father’s reaction.

“I’ve seen a total of six ghosts.” I answered where I noticed Tate was nearby, I wouldn’t mention seven because of Tate. “I’ve seen four other men and one woman other than Charles and Nora.”

“Well I will leave you to choose what one to do next sweetheart. Rest up and I’ll see you at dinner. I’m going to continue to write Charles and Nora Montgomery’s story. I’m calling it The Montgomery’s Nightmare.” He replied walking away where Dina stayed behind looking at me with her concerned blue eyes.

“Leah? I know how hard it must be to handle your father and your powers. I just thought I tell you that I am happy you found someone who is willing to care about you even with your powers.” She exclaimed where I could only stare blankly at her until she moved away from my room shutting the door behind her. I glanced over at Tate seeing that he was wondering what just happened himself.

“That was interesting turn from your father and stepmother.” He replied where I chuckled softly as he lay out against the bed fully materialized before me. I rested my head onto his shoulder while I began jotting down a few notes in my journal. “So would you publish your own work?”

“Maybe? I don’t know. One day but not when I’m living here.” I smiled where he touched my hand with his, our fingers intertwining together. Tate turned on the television while I went back to write in my journal. ‘Everything was unbelievably perfect in every way for us, there are still the hard parts like Tate being dead and I not. Since I learned the truth about Tate it has made me wondered what will happen to us in the future. I love Tate with my whole heart, never had I felt this strongly but the complications of me being alive and him being dead I don’t know what will happen. I can’t lose him, I know there will be a time when my father will finish with this house and want to leave but I can’t leave now. Even if my father figures out the truth about Tate within the research he won’t stop me from being with Tate. I will refuse to leave Tate, I will be with him even if my death has to follow suit. So be it.’ I closed the journal quickly so Tate wouldn’t read what I wrote and placed it onto the bedside table. I curled my head up to his shoulder and watched the program he had on. Everything was perfect right at this moment and I never want it to end.
