Trapped in the Murder House with the endless ghosts who died here moaning about stuff can be boring for Tate Langdon. Cursed to walk the halls of the Murder House for eternity after his death, he also has a secret. Watching couple after couplecome in and watching the ghosts torture them gets old, Tate longs for someone to be with him. With the ghosts warning them of the horrible things that occured in this house and about him this makes Tate angry. The ghosts may fear him but they have no idea when the newest family moves in, Tate sees his opportunity. The ghosts will try to save the family but they have no idea that this family has a dark secret themselves.
Leah Hale is sick and tired of moving from one haunted house to the next because her father's books, not to mention the horrible incidents that happen around her. She was born in one of the Haunted houses and her father believes she is like a beacon for them. It is there she catches the eye of Tate Langdon but she knows to keep him safe she has to be cold. But Tate isn't backing down, Leah fears he will learn the real reasons why she moved so much and its not just for the book. It's something much more horrible.
