The next day the whole gang had gone out to the amusement park and Ray and Brandon where so far, so good keeping up the appearence that they weren't dating. That was until Ray yelled out that she wanted the giant bear at the stall but the others wanted to go on the rollercoaster, and Aaliyah saw this as an opportunity to put her plan into action

"But I want it!" Ray whined
"You're sounding a bit like a big bitch right now" Rayaan said rolling her eyes
"That's the point" Ray mused
"Well we'll go and Zion" Aaliyah said nudging her boyfriend forward "can get it for you"
"But- ow- I mean sure" Zion said rubbing his head
"We'll meet you guys here" Rayaan yelled

Ray didn't question it as she went to the stall and stood behind her tall best friend waiting for her prize. After what seemed like hours and many dollars later , Zion simply coughed up $200 and bought the bare instead. Seeing as the others were still nowhere to be seen he decided to treat Ray to some food

As the pair ate, conversation picked up, random topics, mostly funny stories, it was friends reconnecting but Zion quickly remembered the plan and switched to his smooth girl persona when silence settled between them

"You know I've never noticed but you have the most gorgeous, big brown eyes I've ever seen" Zion compliments taking Ray completely by surprise
"Why thanks, and you have the most longest, and smelliest feet I've smelt" Ray smiled making Zion laugh
"Even your smile is beautiful" Zion said

Ray shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her smile faltering

"Damn, if Brandon fucks up, I'm getting myself a piece of that a-
"Yall got food without me!" Rayaan yelled "Dick move Kuwonu"
"Hey, that was my funnel cake you fat whore" Ray shot
"And this is Aaliyah's top" Rayaan gestured to her shirt "so what"
"Wait what-
"I think it's time for us to hit the road, it's getting late and we have a long way to go" Nick said pushing everyone toward the exit
"I ain't get food though" Rayaan whined
"Who's sounding like a big bitch now" Ray smirked
"You know what Ray-
"Let's go! We'll get KFC on the way"

*At home*

Ray sat at her dressing table, removing her make up as the thought of the event that made her uncomfortable played in her mind. Her door opened, shoving her out of her thoughts as she looked to see Brandon walking in making her smile.

She said nothing as they crawled into bed and cuddled, laying her head on her chest and listening to the heart beat that beat for her alone. (I mean and Maggie but let's not go there)

"I think Zion was flirting with me" Ray blurted, disturbing their peace and making Brandon stiffen
"What makes you think that" Brandon asked calmly
"Because he complimented me.... that idiot never does that" Ray said sitting up

Brandon studied her features for any sign of a joke but to no avail, she was being dead serious. Why would Zion do that when he knew he took some sort of liking toward Ray.

"Maybe you're just imagining things or Zion wanted to be nice today" Brandon said
"Maybe" Ray said chewing her bottom lip
"Stop it" Brandon said gently pulling her lip from her teeth
"Why?" Ray asked slightly giggling
"Cause unless you wanna walk tomorrow I suggest you listen to Me" Brandon smirked
"Oh my gosh!" Ray shrieked
"Come'ere" Brandon smiled pulling Ray back into his embrace
