You were currently at home, cooking lasagna when the door swung open and slammed shut. You looked at the time. It was 3:30pm meaning that was your son Luka.

Luka threw his book bag down and stormed upstairs. I sighed immediately knowing he had a bad day, something he's been having more frequently. I wiped my hands before taking my apron off and making my way upstairs only to be stopped by the door opening. Austin walked through with a bag of Mc Donald's in his hand

"Babe, I cooked" I said confused as to why he brought food
"Oh this isn't for you, it's for Luka." He simply said setting it down in the kitchen
"Why?" I asked puzzled
"He called me and said he had something serious to talk about and judging from the amount of bad days he's been having I figured he wouldn't want burnt chicken Alfredo as comfort food" Austin said
"ONE TIME! I burnt it one time! And all of a sudden-

"Mom, dad, we need to talk" a voice said cutting me off. Before I could look, Luka stormed past me and sat on the couch with a worried look in his eyes

"Before you talk, I wanna propose something. I wanna be homeschooled" he said out of the blue
"Luka-
"Wait mom, this is better because then I can be my normal introvert self, you guys can hire a teacher and since you're still home mom you can monitor them and-
"Luka where's this coming from" I Asked
"And going" Austin mumbled making me nudge his side

"I- I don't wanna go to that school anymore mom. So many fake people. Teachers treating you unfairly because of your background or culture even worse your faith! It's honestly disgusting" he said
"Luka-
"Luka you can't let that get to you. When you enter the gates of your school what's the mentality you go in with?" I asked
"Urg here's a fake bitch. Oh and another one" he said mockingly
"Luka" I scolded
"I'm here to learn" he sighed

"Exactly, so don't let nobody take your success away from you. You there to learn nothing more and nothing less if you gain a friend in the process then it's a bonus" you motivated

Luka looked at you, seeing be ambition in your eye made him want to be more.

"Thanks mom" he smiled standing up "I needed that"
"No problem baby, now go do your homework before dinner is ready" you said pecking his cheek

He jogged upstairs and closer his door
"I really don't know how you do it" Austin smiled
"It's a mom superpower" you smiled back

I don't wanna go to my school guys. It's fucking racist as shit and it's disgusting as fuck. It's hard enough being a young black girl ion need some school telling me I can't be shit because of that🙄
