"Fine, you won't cooperate?! It's all right by me if you ask!"

"Then good! Cause I won't! I'm going home!"

Lewis and I turned back at each other, and he marched away. "I'll catch up with him. Joy, you better stay with Madeline." Joy nodded, and she walked towards me. "Did ye just blow up again?" I sighed heavily. All this stress is gonna build up my chest. "Of course, I would blow a fuse. Lewis disrespected me! And, I'm a lady not just a speck he can deal with!" Joy suddenly smiled at me. "What the heck are you smiling about Joy?" I asked her. "Ye two are having a love quarrel! I knew it!" My jaw dropped. "Are you kidding me?! That's all you could think of now that our team's falling apart because of Lewis and me?" I shouted.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Just trying to lighten up the situation!"

"Ugh! Okay, I'm sorry too! Because I have a short temper and when someone proves me wrong or picks a fight with me, I blow up. You know me better than anyone, Joy."

We both smiled. "Well, this guardian thing stirred up the difficulties, not ye nor Lewis. Yer both pressured, that's all. I can perfectly understand yer problem. Wot is a friend for if ye can't count on them?" I hugged Joy. She always know what to say. "Thank you Joy. Thank you." I told her. She earns every bit of my respect. She's an amazing person. And as her bestfriend, I wouldn't trade her for anything special in the whole world.

"We better go to Lewis and Dane. Let's see how they worked it out."

"Yeah."

We both ran to where Lewis and Dane went off. I'm guessing that's in the garden. They were shouting at each other. "Dude! Come on, we just have to find the other guardians! Who knows, when we get to Ombric or Mr. Plum, they're reduced or something?" Dane said, making weird gestures. "Reduced?! Seriously? No, they won't be." Lewis fought back. Ugh, the tension is getting stronger. "We should probably leave them be." Joy said. Well, she would like to just sit back and watch while eating carrots or apples, I guess? "Okay then! I should be the peacemaker here huh?" I said. "Yeah, yeah. Ye should be!" She agreed, and sat on one corner. Gosh, I hate her.

"ENOUGH! YOU TWO NEED TO STOP ACTING LIKE BABIES!!!"

"Madeline?"

Dane chuckled. "Like you two didn't act like babies awhile ago." I glared at him. "We were talking about 'serious matters' awhile ago, if you don't mind. Plus, Lewis here is a nut that's hard to crack even for the nutcracker!" I hope someone will get my piece of joke, but nobody thinks it was funny, so I made a serious face to justify my statement. "Hold on, I'm hard-headed, that's what you're saying, right?" I nodded. "Maddie, quit it! Quit playing innocent! We all get disappointed sometimes, and you're pretending like you aren't affected by this whole guardian thing!" He exclaimed.

"What are you talking about Lewis?"

"Your goody-two-shoes act! You say it's okay, but it really is not!"

I clenched my fists. "Stop telling me how to act or what to think mister! Do you think I'd follow rules made up by a grandpapi teenage boy?! I'm trying to be as calm as I want me to be, but you push me around like I'm sort of a slave you can order around easily! Guess what Lewis, drop the act also! This will do no good! You know what, your attitude is not accepted in here! So tell me anything negative, if you don't want to cooperate, I might as well blow up a fuse on you again!!!!" I screamed so loud, it made my throat hurt. Lewis didn't move an inch, so did Dane. Joy clapped from afar.

"Pretty good speech! Although ye sounded like mah mum."

"I'm serious Joy!"

She suddenly cleared her throat, and threw me a thumbs-up. So, it means she agrees. I turned back to Lewis and Dane. "So what, are you going to accept my terms and conditions?" I asked him. "Y-yeah, I guess so? As long as I wouldn't see that scary side of you again." I sighed. "Good! So, it's a deal! You would agree to what the group agrees to, or else you would face my furious wrath." I said and we all laughed. "Hey, who's there?" We all turned back and saw a guard at us. It wasn't Night Light Jace, it was just a regular guard.

"Sorry, sir! We just fed Bonnie..."

"I heard a laugh here. Plus, I saw Bonnie not just awhile ago, outside the school gate! You're lying!"

We all looked at each other. The Bunny guardian escaped? "Awhile ago, he was here." Lewis said, backing me up. He winked secretly and smirked. "Nah, I won't believe lies made up by children like you." The guard said, and immediately walked up to us. I gulped. "Don't come any closer." Lewis told the guard. "Threatening an old man, are ya? That's now a violated rule you know?" The guard said. I looked at Lewis's hands to see what's in his mind. Then, I looked at Joy and Dane, and it seems they already knew it before I did.

"Not really threatening, I'm just warning."

"What?"

Lewis darted his hand to the guard, and he instantly froze. "Oh my gosh! What are we gonna do now?!" I exclaimed. "Just keep quiet, until we find Mr. Plum." Dane said, and all of us agreed. "What if I can't?" I said. "You know me, I cannot keep hiding forever. I'm not like my mother who has tons of secrets. The truth will set you free right?" I asked them, panicking. "Madeline, don't worry. My ice powers aren't gonna last long here. It's gonna last by winter, so I guess this guard will remain frozen only for a few hours, then he can melt and move freely. So yes, don't panic cause I got this all under control." He explained, and I smiled.

"Good! Well, then let's go to the Voltage Room, and check out if Mr. Plum's in there."

"Yes! Only 43 minutes before students come out for lunch."

We all ran out of the garden and went to the voltage room. I'm so glad our difficulties have been resolved by my anger! There's nothing this fuse can't solve!
