"'Maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourselves,
In everything we used to love.'"

- R.M Drake

"Happy eighteenth birthday to me," Bear softly hissed, as she forced herself to sit up right, as Monty's jacket hung loosely around her body as a blanket.

Clarke looked over her shoulder, sending the girl a brisk smile, before turning back and giving her full attention to Jasper. Everyone, well, everyone that cared, knew that Harvey was healing quite fast. On the other hand, Jasper seemed to have drawn the smaller stick in the healing department.

"His pulse is three-eighty," Clarke hummed.

"On a level of that's not bad, to 'oh shit that's fucking bad' is three-eighty?" Kage asked, as he patted Jaspers forehead with a wet cloth.

"Three-eighty is dangerous," was all Clarke said, side stepping the humour.

Below, ruckus was heard from the angered teenagers below. Guess some of them can't catch their beauty sleep by blocking out the anguish of Jasper and Harvey's pain.

"Don't listen to them," Clarke soother, as Kage kicked the hatch, making a long clang flow throughout the dropship,"You're gonna make it through this, ok? I promise."

"I would go down there and shut them up, but in my state, I'd rather not mess with some sleep-deprived murderers," Bear whispered, as tear trailed down her cheek.

She would be lying if she said she wasn't in pure pain, to her, she felt like her whole body was being burnt at the stake. But she bit her tongue, just so Clarke would not worry, so that Jasper would be treated more carefully.

She'd be ok dying, if it meant saving her friend.

"Please don't do that," Clarke laughed, as she stood up,"I'm going to get clean water. Keep an eye on him," She stated, as she passed by Kage.

Everyone watched in silence, as Clarke disappeared under the hatch, trailing down the ladder- probably getting some angry glares from the other teenagers on the way out.

Monty quickly sat between Bear and Jasper, keeping a hand on the boys forehead to feel if his temperature rises- or lowers. He turned his head to look over his shoulder, as Kage made himself comfortable in the corner.

"This isn't your fault, you know?" Monty assured.

Bear growled, as her hand began picking at the beads on her bracelet. There colour was long washed away, as all that was left of them was the rusty metal underneath. It hurt, but, she believes its the closest representation of how her friendship turned with Bellamy...

And, the last thing she had of him and her sister, before he turned his back on her... and before she was swept away to never see Ember again.

Ember.

More then just that in the flame that was her heart.

"I know... I just wished I saw it coming," she huffed.

As they sat in silence, Monty's eyes widened in realisation, before his hand dove into his pocket, pulling out a beautiful stone that glistened in the low lighting.
