Is it the clock running slow
Or is it me, I don't know

You're not here, and it's midnight
But I still left on the porch light

I wait in here, in our room
In the thick air and the gloom

Your tea went cold, mine did too
But the cup's still here waiting for you 

I made dinner but didn't eat
Only stared at the roasted meat

Again and again, I check my phone
For a call saying you'll be soon home

Once or twice I heard a knock
But it wasn't you maybe just a rock

Your pillow's lost the scent of you
The memories left are now too few

It's been so long since you're away
When you'll be back you didn't say

I feel like hitting my head
