Wait! I've got something to say
'Been thinking while you were away

I remember that after we first met
I laid awake all night in bed

With your thought stuck in my head
All the words which you had said

Every word which escaped your lips
'Can count them on my finger tips

"Wait", "please", "sorry", "halt"
"It's ok. 'Was not your fault"

And the one time when you told me
"On the morrow, the class would be"

And once that "if you had known,
Why'd you keep it as your own?"

The look you gave of disgrace
I knew it was just on the surface

Deep down, you held out your hand
And had pulled me up to stand 

You showed me a world so new
Told me things only you knew

Now I'm still living in those dreams
Even though you've left these realms

I tried to call you back
Even followed your track 

But it got me nowhere
Now you're too far from here

I'm sorry, I didn't tell you
I hadn't thought this through

I didn't know, and it got too late
