It has been several decades
Mothers stand at the threshold
Waiting for their dear sons
Or some news to be told

For it has been decades
Of children being orphaned
Wives being widowed
Dads putting sons in coffins

Many die per weak
Hurt by pallet guns
Many lay injured
With deep cuts and burns

Air dark with smoke
Floors red with blood
Battle cries raise all around
Dead fall with a thud

Still the sons don't fear
They go out and fight
For what they've always wanted
For what is truly their right

Sons of beautiful valleys
Marked with scars of battle
They won't give up until they win
They are a wall of hard metal

Fighting with all might
They face the brutal foe
Life or death, they do not fear
They won't loose, they know

Their mothers and sisters
Pray for them all day
United they stand
They'll surely find a way

According to the famous charter
'Resolution' as per UN command
Never ever will they back down
It's their right they demand

Never will they loose hope
Never will they give up
They will get their freedom
They'll see the sun come up
