The way of the world
Nothing remains the same
Peaceful becomes reckless
Once wild are now tame

Never was immortal
The calm of the sea
Tranquil then malice
Blue as far as one can see

Flickering dying flame
Enraged before this tire
Once bought forth
An abyss of hellfire

What once was a breeze
Are now ferocious storms
An angry hurricane
Destroying all lifeforms

Once flourishing civilisations
Now lost and forgotten
Their houses now ruins
Their bones long rotten

The innocent little child
Who came to life crying
Grows up into man
Forgets he's surely dying

Time flows like a river
Waters never the same
Cares nor stops for one
No gentlemen or dame
