Didn't ( a gazal)

A/n: ooookaaayyyy. Three things.

One: three updates in less than twenty hours.... I'm very happy. :)

Two: this is a Gazal in my dear mother tongue, Urdu. So, if you are one of those may unfortunate people who don't understand, there is the translation— right under the piece. Its if doesn't make sense to you, I understand. Its a translation so, feel free to PM me.

Three: unedited. So if you (my dear fellow Urdu speakers) think that something needs fixing, lemme know right away. I will be grateful. :)

اِک منزل جو کبھی آساں نہ ہوئی
میری محبت اُن پر عیاں نہ ہوئی

کی کئی بار جستجو تیرے دیدار کی
اک بار بھی قسمت مہرباں نہ ہوئی

چاہا جب کہ بکھر جاؤں مثلِ اوراق
اک ذرا مہرباں بھی خزاں نہ ہوئی

چھوڑ دیں ہم نے وہ تمام راہیں
تیرے قدموں کی چاپ وہاں نہ ہوئی

تھے مجنوں اور بھی رہے زمانے میں
مگر بیان کبھی اُن کی داستاں نہ ہوئی

تمام عمر ستایا اِک ہی غم نے، نور
دل کی بات کبھی لب سے بیاں نہ ہوئی

My love for them was never verbalised

To see you once, I tried a lot
But seems like destiny has a plot

When I decided, like leaves to scatter
Even autumn didn't help in the matter

I left all those paths there
Didn't find your footprints where

There were more Majnus in history
But their legends still remain history

All my life, noor, I remained depressed
Words in my heart never got expressed
