Chapter 54: Stage fright?

" I hate airplanes." I said.

" You were so scare." Shawn laughed.

" Shut up." I said. I grabbed my bag and we walked towards the car.

" We are going to the hotel first then we go eat. " Shawn said.

" Alright."

I finished curling my hair. I walked out the bathroom. I looked to see Shawn in a white shirt and jeans. He looks at me.

" You look beautiful." Shawn smiled. I blushed.

" Thanks. You look hot." I said. Shawn held out his hand and I took it. We walked out the room.

" So the concert starts in two hours. Maybe you should sing a song?" Shawn said.

" I can't. I would need my song book."

" You mean this one." Shawn grabs something. My freaking song book.

" You took it!" I shouted. Everyone stared at us.

" You took it." I said. Shawn nodded.

" I hate you." I said.

" I love you too." Shawn gave me my book. Our food came and we ate.

We walked out the restaurant.

" The concert is in an hour." Shawn said.

" Are you excited?" I asked.

" Yes. And nervous. " Shawn said.

" You'll do great. I know you will." I smiled.

" What if I miss a note? What if I forget-"

" Don't overthink this. You are an amazing singing. You will do great. Maybe greater." I said.

" Thanks. I'm glad you are here with me." Shawn said. I look around.

" Shawn, where are we again?" I asked.

" New York." Shawn said.

" Okay. That's why it looks familiar here." I said. I heard Shawn laugh. My phone rings. Carter.

" Hey." I said.

" Christina, I need to tell you something." Carter said.

" Okay... What?" I asked.

" It's about Jenny.... and me."

" Is everything alright?" I said.

" Yea. It's just... Jenny and I are moving in together. At a new place. " Carter said.

" Oh." I was hurt. Having my best friend move out with his hater model aka his " girl ".

" Is that okay with you?"

" Of course. I have to go, bye." I hung out. I can't let him move out. But he loves her. He is happy. And that's all I want for him.

" Everything is okay?" Shawn asked.

" Yea. It's just Carter is moving out with... Jenny." I looked down. I felt Shawn wrap his arms around me.

" It's okay." Shawn whispered.

" Welcome Shawn Mendes!" The crowd cheered and clapped.

" Hey, guys." Shawn said.

" I'm going to sing Life of the party. I hope you like it." Shawn starts to sing. I hear the crowd sing with him.

It's amazing how far he has gone. I'm proud of him.

I sat down on the couch. I looked at my song book. My feelings are mixed. I'm nervous. Scared. Happy. Sad. I'm confused.

" I want you to welcome my friend, Christina Royal!" I hear Shawn said. I get up. Shawn comes to me.

" I can't." I said. I started to shake.

" You can do this." Shawn said.

" I'm scared." I admitted.

" Don't be. You are an amazing singer. " Shawn smiled.

" I'll try." I said. I walked on the stage. The crowd stared at me. Shawn came next to me. He put his arm around my waist.

I couldn't speak. I couldn't move.

" C'mon, Christina. You got this." Shawn whispered. I nod.

" Hello, I'm Christina Royal. And I'm gonna sing a song cover called Don't Stop by Five Seconds of Summer." I said.

" That was amazing!" Shawn said. We were walking back to the hotel room.

" I was still nervous." I said.

" I can tell. When you started to sing, you were shaking... a lot."

" Yea." I said. I opened the door and walked in.

" How come you are scared now?" Shawn asked.

" I guess it's the hate I get from last time." I said.

" Oh." Shawn said. I grabbed some clothes and walked into the bathroom. I showered then changed. I walked out.

" Haha." Shawn said.

" What?" I asked.

" You are wearing my shirt." Shawn said. I looked down and saw that it was Shawn' s shirt.

" Oh." I said.

" It's fine. You look cute in it." I blushed. I got in the bed.

" Good night." I said.

" Night." I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
