The Chase

She turns around and lays done on her chest inside.

"Goodnight."Katara half heartedly says

Aang is sleeping with Katzumi, hand in hand. Sokka and Katara are sleeping inside their tent, and Toph is across the camp asleep in her tent.

Quite suddenly Toph awakes and gasps, rising to her knees and feeling the ground with her hand. She rises, turns, and runs out.

"There's something coming toward us!" Toph says waking everyone up

"What is it?" Aang asks

Toph standing in the middle of the camp, she kneels to the ground again to feel it.

"It feels like an avalanche... But also not like an avalanche." She explains

"Your powers of perception are frightening."

"Should we leave?" Katzumi asks

"Better safe than sorry."

Aang sits on Appa's head. He turns around and squints his eyes to see their pursuer.

"What is that thing?" Katara gasps

It's a large train-like tank with smoke pouring out of it's smokestack. It has two large compartments connected to it, trailing behind. The machine is moving very quickly for its size.

Appa descends onto one of the hills a little bit later. Once all six paws are on the ground, Toph jumps out of the saddle and lays flat on the ground. The other four climb out as well.

"Ahh, land, sweet land! See you guys in the morning!" Toph quickly says

"Actually, can you help us unload?" Katara asks

"Really? You need me to help unload Sokka's funky-smelling sleeping bag?"

Sokka's sleeping bag to him. He takes a few sniffs, twitches in disgust making a matching facial expression, and falls backward.

"Well, yeah. That and everything else. You're a part of our team now and..." Katara is cut off

"Look. I didn't ask you to help unload my stuff. I'm carrying my own weight." Toph exclaimes

Toph walks left off

"That's not the point." She mutters

"Ever since joining us you've been nothing but selfish and unhelpful." She yells

"What? Look here, sugar queen, I gave up everything I had so that I could teach Aang earthbending, so don't you talk to me about being selfish!" Toph yells

Toph sits quickly and making another stone tent around herself.

"Sugar Queen!" ,Toph closes off her rock tent by brining a slab of earth up to cover the opening to Katara. "D-Did you just slam the door in my face!"

Katara moves erratically about the tent grumbling.

Katzumi, Sokka, Aang, and Momo watch on.

"How can you be so infuriating!" She continues to grumble while the others speak.

"Should we... do something?" Aang asks

"Hey, I'm just enjoying the show." Sokka explains

"No.. I think you should do something" Katzumi says

"Okay, okay, you both need to calm down." Aang says

"Both? I'm completely calm!" Katara Shouts, turning quickly to show her hysterical face.
