"This should give us a good idea of what's around here." Katara points to a circular board. The group made a quick pit stop near a firenation town. Obviously having no intention of going down.
"See if you can find a menu, I'm starving." Sokka explains he and Aang rush over by Katara and Katzumi by the board
"I bet we'll find something to eat here! The Fire Days Festival. Fire Nation cultural exhibits...jugglers, benders, magicians. This'd be a great place for me to study some real firebenders!" Aang exclaimed. He knew Katzumi was his teacher but seeing a master first never hurt
"You might wanna rethink that. Look at this." Sokka grabs a flyer from the opposite side of the board. He hold up a wanted picture of Aang
"Hey, a poster of me!" Aang isn't fazed or worried the poster
"A wanted poster. This is bad." Sokka tries to get his point across to Aang but fails.
"I think we better keep moving." Katara puts her last bracket on Appa.
"I have to learn firebending at some point, and this could be my only chance to watch a master up close." Aang looks at the group. Katzumi and Katara are convinced but Sokka really couldn't care he was just hungry
"I guess we could check it out." Katzumi smiles and Katara nods
"What!? You want to walk into a Fire Nation town where they're all fired up with all their, you know, fire?"Sokka gestures his hands in flames. The group all look at him annoyed
"We'll wear disguises and if it looks like trouble, we'll leave." Katara tells him.
"Yeh, because we always leave before we get into trouble." Sokka turns and walk to the group who are at the edge of the forest
"Ready disguises!"
Sokka, Katara, all put on their black cloaks. Katzumi on the other hand could blend in, with her fire nation clothing. While Aang turns around and turns back around with the back of his hood over his head. He smiled sheepishly. Both Katara and Katzumi giggle at his new appearance
"It's like you're a whole different person." Sokka Sarcastically ads
"Let's go." Aang starts to walk down the hill as the others follow
The 4 enter the main square of the town. Around them children frolic, revelers run by in ornate costumes, including several people almost completely concealed in a Chinese dragon outfit, and all participants are wearing colorful masks.
"I think we need some new disguises." Katzumi admits
"Where are we gonna get masks like that?" Katzumi beautiful features turn into a frown cleary annoyed of Sokka's sarcasm
"Get your genuine Fire Festival masks here!" A merchant to the right of the group yells. The group smiles and round over to the booth
The 4 all put on their masks. At first Sokka is wearing a happy mask and Aang a sad one. Katara switches them, revealing Sokka's sour puss face and Aang's wide smile. The masks now match the temperament of the owner. They walk into the square.
"Hey, there's some food." Aang points to another merchant
Finally! What do you have?" Sokka asks the merchant in front of him
"Flaming fire flakes! Best in town."
The merchant gestures to a few bags of them
"I'll take em!"
