I inhaled the fresh pine scent and snuggled deeper into the warm blankets that encased me. My body hurt. The worst of the pain radiate out from my lower belly. I didn't want to move.

"Leannan?" The sound of Silas sleepy voice made my eyes pop open. He shifted the blankets and scooted closer to me. I turned and snuggled into his arms and blinked back tears.

"I'm so sorry." He whispered kissing the top of my head.

~You didn't do anything wrong.~ I whispered.

"I went way too far last night." He squeezed me and inhaled slowly.

~I asked you too.~ I shook my head.

"I shouldn't have. I know more about sex and I know that is not how anyone's first time should be. It was reckless and I hurt you." He said. I could hear in his tone how hard he was taking it. He was blaming himself for everything that had happened last night but none of it had been his fault.

~Silas-~ The sound of a phone ringing cut me off. Silas sighed and tucked his head into my neck.

~Are you going to answer that?~ I asked.

"No." He grumbled.

The phone went silent for a moment before starting up again. Silas growled. He tightened his arms and rolled pulling me with him so that he could he reach his phone.

"What?" He answered the phone.

"Yeah..." He muttered. He ran his fingers through my hair as he listened to the person on the other end of the phone.

"Ok. I'll be down in a minute." He sighed and hung up.

"I have to go." He grumbled pulling me tighter and snuggling back into the crook of my neck.

~Ok...~ I said hugging him back.

Silas huffed and rolled again so that I was under him instead of on top and he kissed me. It was a slow lingering kiss. Warmth swirled between my legs and any sign of pain vanished.

"We'll talk after?" He asked.

~Can we try again later?~ I asked.

Silas tilted his head as he looked at me. He understood that I was not talking about talking. He shook his head with an incredulous smile.

"Maybe... in a bed..." He conceded and kissed me again. The kiss turned in to two and then three. Silas growled and pulled away. He kissed my forehead and paused.

~What's wrong?~ I asked.

"You're really warm." He said. He raised his hand and pressed the back of his fingers to my cheek. I shrugged.

~Matthew is running tests but I've been running hot for a while.~ I said.

Silas shook his head.

"No Leannan. I run hot. You are burning up." He said. "You need to go back to Matthew."

~Ok.~ I nodded. ~I'm going to grab a quick shower and head down right behind you.~

Silas nodded.

"Ok." He agreed. He gave me a quick peck on the lips before heading out.

I didn't realize how horrible I felt until I had to lean against the wall in the shower for support. My lower stomach was starting to hurt more and more the longer I stood under the cool water. I closed my eyes and forced myself  to pull air in through my nose and out through my mouth. I just needed to work up the strength to get back out of the shower and down to Matthew.
