"Will you ever stop reading?" I heard Joseph groan by the door of my room. I shook my head, not bothering to lift my eyes up to look at him.

"Well, I missed you," he said, I heard him make his way to my bed, where I was sat reading my twelfth book this summer.

Joseph is my boyfriend. We have dated for almost a year now. He spent the whole summer away in Boston visiting his grandparent's, calling me every now and then and telling me about his dull, lousy and eternal summer.

While I on the other hand managed to occupy myself by reading the books in my mom's old library, not realizing that summer has almost come to an end.

"Come on, Maia. Put the book down," he groaned again, taking the book away from me and throwing it across my bed.

"Hey!" I scowled at him. "You didn't even fold the corner of the page! Now I lost my place!" I glared at him.

He smirked and threw himself on top of me, supporting his weight on one of his forearms and the other holding my hip while he kissed me down my neck to my collarbone.

"God! I missed you so much, Maia. I just need you right now, " he mumbled against my skin.

I let my hands go to his hair, entangling them. I tugged on them, earning a slight moan from him. I smiled at my accomplishment, his moans always gave me shivers down my spine.

His hands found their favorite spot under my shirt. I gasped as his cold fingers traced my skin. His lips moved upwards and met mine.

I pushed him back. He looked down at me with a small frown on his face, clearly upset that I stopped him.

"How was your summer?" I asked, a smile tugging onto my lips.

He groaned, "terrible, can we continue now?" I knew that he didnt want to talk, but he obviously doesnt get it. I wasn't in the mood for what he wanted.

"Joe," I sighed. "I'm serious."

"So am I!" He defended himself. "I missed my fucking girlfriend! Do you call playing bingo with only two players fun?" He cocked an eyebrow at me.

"At least you had someone to spend it with," I argued. It was true, the only reason I was allowed to read the books in my mom's library was because my dad was never home and he would've never let me in there, in fear that I might find out something about her in there, which only made me more curious to what's inside of that small room at the back of the stairs.

"My dad was either working or with his cake-faced girlfriend. He never really cared if I felt lonely."

"Well, you're not anymore, babe," he assured as he leaned down and started kissing my jawline. I pushed him away, still not in the mood. He groaned for what felt like the tenth time today.

"Joe, if you don't wanna talk then we can just go downstairs and watch a movie or something," I suggested.

"I vote for something," he kissed me again, already attempting to take my shirt off.

"Joseph," now I was the one groaning in frustration, swatting his hands away.

"I'm not in the mood for this now. I'm tired and I just want to watch a cheesy movie in pajamas with my boyfriend and cuddle on the couch. Is that so hard?" I sighed.

"Aw... come on, Maia. Three months without you is a lot," he pouted, trying his hardest to convince me to change my mind one last time.

"Joseph..." I whined.

"Maia..." he mocked me.

"Can we just watch a movie?" I pouted, "please?"

Joseph looked over my features probably a thousand times. He rolled his eyes at me and and let out a huff of annoyance.

He averted his gaze and stared blankly at the wall beside us. "Whatever," he said in a hushed voice.

I knew what he was doing. He was trying to guilt trip me.

I stared at his features. His dark hair tousled atop his head. His eyes were piercing blue and so vibrant. They always shone in the darkest of lights.

I was jealous because my eyes were brown and my hair was an ugly black. I was so common looking, if you glanced at me twice, you'd consider it as looking at two people.

Joseph stuck his bottom lip out. His eyes drooped with sadness, he sucked in a long breath and closed his eyes.

I missed Joseph, he always made my day. I just wish he didn't ruin my reading time. He knew how much I loved reading.

"I love you," I sighed, thinking that I needed to remind him.

"Yeah..." he breathed out, "I know."

Joseph opened his eyes and stared back down at me. His eyes still hoping that I'd change my mind.

That little shit. He thinks I'd give in any minute now. But he should know my levels of stubbornness.

"What movie do you want to watch?" I grinned irritatingly up at him.

"Screw you, Waters," he groused before smashing his lips against mine.
