Mike Hanlon was a homeschooled boy living on the edge of Derry. He lived with his grandfather, as both his parents died when he was very young. He worked on a farm, but wasn't comfortable doing more of the *ahem* gruesome work.
For one, he hated killing sheep, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Mike didn't have friends, but that would change within a span of three months.
