Three weeks had passed since Cason and Carrie had broken up and he had started dating me.

Three weird weeks.

Everyone knew my name now.

No one acted like they had before I was dating Cason now.

Girls tried to be my friend and tried to invite me to everything.

I always said no because I already had my friends, who had also gained popularity status.

Unfortunately, that was not the only thing time had changed.

It was also getting closer to going to England for Andrew Bring's parole hearing. I had two months, to be specific.

It was a Friday night that I finally mustered up the courage to ask Cason.

"Hey, Cason?" I asked softly, lifting my head off of his chest to look him in the eye.

"Yeah?"

"You know how I'm going to England to rebut Andrew getting out of prison?"

"Yeah. What about it?"

"Well, it's in two months, during spring break, and I really don't want to go alone. I mean, I know I'll have my dad and all of them, but I really want someone else there too."

"Are you asking me to go?" He asked.

"Yeah. I guess."

"I would love to go. I would actually be honored to go."

I giggled and said, "Honored is over exaggerating."

"No, it's not."

"That's a yes though, right?"

"Of course, it's a yes," He whispered, sealing his answer with a kiss.

Two months passed by quickly and soon enough, we were standing on English soil. We had arrived two days before the hearing and were catching up with everyone we knew.

On the morning of the trial, I stood in front of the mirror, breathing softly. I was wearing a black dress that had long sleeves and fell straight to right above my knees. I had paired it with a simple pair of black heels.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and looked up to see Cason standing behind me.

He was wearing a black suit that made him look absolutely stunning.

"You are going to be perfect, you know that?" He whispered, turning me around and pressing his forehead to mine.

"I'm scared though," I whispered, not bothering to hide the tremble in my voice.

"You don't need to be scared. All you have to do is get up there and speak. Don't even hold back, Haven. Cry if you have to."

I squeezed my eyes shut and whispered, "I don't know if I can do this, Cason."

"Look at me," He softly demanded.

I opened my eyes to look at him and he whispered, "You can do this. From the very beginning, you have never let anything stop you. You absolutely can do this."

I breathed out softly and nodded.

Sitting in that court room an hour later felt like a dream and when I stood up to speak my part, that's when I knew it was real.

Watching Haven stand up and speak her part was amazing to me.

Watching the relief on her face and the faces of everyone else who were against Andrew Bring when he was told his parole was denied was also amazing.

We stayed two more days in England and flew back to America on Thursday. Haven and I spent the rest of spring break together.

On Monday morning, however, our happiness came to an end.

It was all at the hands of Carrie.

It was all at the hands of Carrie

A/N:

I am so sorry guys!
I'm not going to try and give you some bullshit excuse but I will tell you that I have been so busy. The place I work at hires minors as young as 14. Now that school has ended, all the minors are opening up availability and since I'm in the South, season has ended. Between both of those, my hours are going to tank and when presented with the opportunity to pick up more, I said yes.

Anyway, one more chapter after this and this book is over!
