Kat was yelling at me, accompanied by my sister and Holland.

"Who even told you?!" I snapped back, exasperated.

"Oh, come on!" Ryan shot. "Brendon is my twin. There is literally nothing that boy can keep from me."

"So, what if I kissed her? She pushed me away."

"So, your choice was to do screw Carrie?" Holland asked sharply.

"What am I supposed to do now? It's too late. Haven has seen me pretend happy for the last two months and probably thinks I am over her."

"Well, it's not too late to think it over!" Kat snapped before all three of them walked out.

After Haven ran away from me that night and Carrie basically threatened her and me, I pretended to be happy with Carrie. It sickened me, but I did it because I didn't want Haven to get hurt.

Earlier today, when I saw her drawing the court scene, it broke my heart. I could see the pain in the depths of her eyes and I wish that I could have just reached out and held her.

"You are a smart guy, Cason," I looked up and saw Kat had returned. The fire was gone from her eyes and she sat down on my bed softly.

"I wish I was."

"You are. What is one the lessons that your mom taught you? You are a teenager and teenagers make mistakes. But, while you are a teenager, there is still time to fix what you have done wrong. You can fix it, Cason. So, do it."

I made up my mind then as Kat walked out.

I got dressed quickly before grabbing my keys and driving over to Haven's house. I knocked on the door and her dad opened it.

"Cason," He greeted.

"Mr. Night."

"I thought you and Haven weren't talking anymore."

I winced before saying, "Well, I really need to talk to her about something. Is she home?"

"She's not, but you could probably come back later."
