III - Hello University

Graduation came by so fast. It was sad saying goodbye to a few friends and the school itself. Dami kong memories dito since kinder. But, life must go on. We now have different lives. Iba ibang universities na kami. Buti na lang Trish is going to the same university.

Ngayon, nasa mall kaming dalawa. We're shopping for some clothes, sports shoes and casual shoes, bags, school supplies and anything else we may need for college. Wala kasi kaming uniform eh. Also, we both decided to stay in the university dorm na lang. Mas okay ata yun kesa mag rent ng apartment. Libre pa kasi student athletes kami.

Also, mas panatag yung parents namin na mag dorm na lang kesa daw apartment baka kung anu-ano daw matutunan naming dalawa outside of the university.

Natapos na kamiag shopping and we decided to buy some refreshments. What better drink to buy than Coco Fresh Tea and Juice. Gaya ng nakararami, adik na rib kami sa milk tea. Parang naging go-to-drink na namin sya.

We just finished ordering ours and Trish went to the rest room. Ako naman, I sat in a corner table facing the wall.

"Wintermelon for Jema!" Rinig kong tawag ng crew.

"Queen, tama na muna daldal sa phone. Yung drink natin ready na." Sabi ng isa.

Agad namang nagtayuan ang balahibo ko nung narinig ko ang pangalang yun. Queen.

Lalo pa kong kinilabutan nung naramdaman kong dumaan sila sa likod ko. Kusa namang Dahandahan napalongon ang ulo ko para tignan sila. Likod na lang ang nakita ko dahil pa exit na sila ng Coco. Nakita ko lang ang dalawang babae. Ang isa at may short hair na blond-ish ang buhok. Cool.

"Two - 2 ladies for Deanna." Tawag ng crew. Sakto namang labas ni Trish ng rest room.

We claimed our drinks and ordered a grab car to get home.

Summer ended and here comes a new journey ahead of us.

I woke up 4 am kasi we have freshmen orientation by 8:30 - 12 noon. Three hours travel kasi from home yung university. Another reason why we opted to stay sa dorm na lang.

Dito rin pala natulog si Trish. Sabay na kami ihahatid ng university.

We ate a quick breakfast and dressed up. Simple lang naman ako, I wore a white v-neck shirt, black jeans and my white Van's. My best friend though is another story. Obviously dress to impress ang lola nyo. Naka dress ba naman. Hahahaha!

Yung driver ni mommy yung maghahatid samin pero kasama si mom. Dad, as usual, couldn't go kasi busy with business. We're very close naman kaya lang syempre ganyan talaga minsan.

We arrived na sa university and sobrang enthusiastic lang nitong best friend ko na ang laki ng ngiti habang nag iikot yung mata. Binaba na naming dalawa ang gamit namin as both of us were lead to a conference hall along with my mom. Kasama talaga ang parents sa orientation.

On one side, pinaupo lahat ng freshies sa other naman yung parents. We were handed a student handbook. They started the agenda and went on with the talks, rules, attendance policy and stuff.

After an hour, we had to say goodbye to our parents na. It's actually a little depressing kasi unlike the other regular students na pede umuwi pag free kaming mga student athlete baka mejo matagal ulit bago makita ang mga magulang kasi busy.

The university map was discussed with a little tour which ended at exactly 12 noon.

Students were allowed to go eat lunch and enjoy the rest of the day to get comfortable with the new environment. Us, athlete though, were told to eat and return by 1pm for more dreadful talks.
