Writing a song

It was the 10th of July, and that meant it was a day before Eleven's birthday.

She chose it by herself, because no one knew her exact date of birth, so she picked the number 11, of course, and the month July, because she said it is the most magical month of the year, when the nature and animals are awake.

And also, in the 11th of July, Eleven would be able to leave the hospital and return to her normal-or as normal as it can be- life.

And Mike couldn't wait for it.

He was alone in his basement, sitting on the couch, while talking with his friends with his walkie-talkie

"So, Mike, didn't you go to the hospital tonight? over" will said

"No, hopper would stay with Eleven. over"

"tomorrow is her birthday dude. Have you bought her a present?" dustin entered the chat

"I came up with some options, but I don't know what she would like"

"Take her a dress, I took one to Max on her birthday and she liked it a lot! I think she has never worn it because she does not want to destroy it" Lucas said

"First of all, Lucy, it was the worst dress ever. Brown and pink, yukk. I changed it. Over" maxine replied while laughing

"You changed my present? What the hell max! over" the boy replied in annoyance

"Can you two stop your little fight or whatever it is and help me pick a present for El? I need you guys! OVER"

"Yeah, Mike, tell us what you have thought of. over" the zombie boy added

"I thought of buying her some jewelry or buying her a watch like mine. And then i came up with an idea to buy her a book. She loves books. over"

"Or you could give her some chocolate puddings from the school cantine! yass baby. over" dustin joked

"Oh god, boys, you do not know anything about girls at all! Mike, if you need my advice, give El something different, something deep inside your heart. Something that Eleven can have in her mind every day. over" the ginger haired said proudly

"Thanks Max. Over"

"It's nothing Mike. And don't you dare taking her any silly brown and pink dress, because she'll burry you alive! Over"

"Hey! I tried to pick you a nice present. But you don't like anything! over" lucas replied

"I like everything except from silly dresses! You should have known that Lucy! Over"

"You can continue having your issues between your walkie-talkies, but I can't hear you anymore. Max, thanks for the advice, goodnight. Over and out"

Mike turned off his walkie-talkie and closed his eyes, in an attempt to make up his mind what to buy to El.

 give El something different, something deep inside your heart. Something that Eleven can have in her mind every day.   

Max's words rang into his ears. He didn't have to buy Eleven a present, all he had to do is to make a present. A present which could stay in her memory and not just in her hands. And he knew what it was.

He remembered a conversation they made a month ago, before the snowball:

"When I was hiding in the woods with Hopper, he showed me what music is"

"What did you listen to?"

"A rythmical song, it was funny"

"So, you liked music?"

"Completely"

"You know, there are romantic songs too"

"I would love to hear one Mike"

"I think the snowball will have some. The romantic song composers have been inspired from their girlfriends and  wrote the romantic songs everybody is listening to. I could make you a romantic song one day. You are a great inspiration El Hopper" he said, while his girlfriend smiled widely

"I'm sure that would be amazing, Mike"

He walked up to the living room and took his dad's pick-up down to the basement, and he placed on it a disk called "one direction".

He rapidly recognised the song that was playing on, it was the "every breath you take", the one they danced at the snowball.

It was a really romantic song, which reminded him all of his magical moments with Eleven.

And suddenly, the thoughts became images, and the images letters.

All he had to do was to write them down.

To write down the best birthday song for his lovely girlfriend

I think this is bigger than the last and a little tiring, but we had to create the right atmosphere for Eleven's birthday.

We wanted to make a scene with all(or almost all) the party together, so we did.

Also, we picked the date 11th of July, to make a guess about El's birthday in season three. We already know that there's a chapter named "the birthday" so what if it is about Eleven's birthday? We can wait and see.

As you saw, this chapter contains a great plenty of flashbacks too

The next chapter will be Eleven's party to Hopper's house(spoiling haha) and it's on it's way and we'll try to make it as long as it should be(and that means huge). It's gonna be amazing and romantic!

We promise we will upload it tomorrow, because this one was kind of a filler.
