Things Barry has asked, or needed help with from his foster father joe.

Dating advice...about his daughter:
Barry loves iris. He just didn't know what to do with her on their first date. He went to the only resource at the moment...her father.

"Yo joe!" Said Barry as they walked into star labs. "Hey son." Said joe as he swung his arm around his shoulder. "So i Wanted to  ask you something pretty important to me." Barry started twittling with his thumbs.

"Yes?" He answered. Barry breathes in and said "what should me and iris do on our date?" Joe was shocked. "Well, Bare. You know the girl even more than i do. Haven't you planned this out a long time ago?" He asked laughing.

"Well I guess but- you know you just gave me the best idea. Thanks joe." Barry smiled and dashed away as joe chuckled to himself how adorable his adopted son was loving his daughter.

About a period.

"Joe what's a period?" Barry asked as he was looking at his physics textbook at the west kitchen table. Barry had missed the Health class when they addressed this. He was curious because iris was moody and said she was "bleeding" but said she didn't need bandages.

"Well son, it's a cycle in a females body...that allows them to have children (correct me if I'm wrong. I only learned from my experience, not at school😬). And they get moody because their hormones are going wack. And they bleed." Joe explained in the most appropriate way possible.

"Where are they bleeding?" Asked teenage Barry confused. Joes face went into shock when he wished his son wasn't sick that day of health class.

"Well they...they bleed...down, south. Of their bodies." Joe said embarrassed. "Oh!" Barry said as he immediately looked down and started to read again. He completely understood. "Yeah. Don't tell iris we're talked about this son." Said joe as he started to leave. "Will do." Barry nodded.

About puberty.

Of course Barry was also sick the day they learned about females puberty changes.

"So what happens?" He asked joe sitting on the couch. If it was anything like his puberty he would be relieved.

Barry's puberty wasn't horrifying. He just grew hair, grew taller, got a deeper voice, and started to smell, pretty bad.

"Well, they grow more hair. They will need to use deodorant. Uh- they will get their period like i told you. Their- breasts will become more...noticeable. And they will get pimples too." Joe said telling him straight forward.

"Oh wow." Barry breathes out. Joe knew his son wasn't one of those guys that would go out for girls at this age. He just wanted to be aware to help iris.

How to raise a child.

Even though Barry has an adult child and he doesn't have to go through the hard stuff, he still has to go through many other things that come with having a child.

"Joe, Nora is...being Nora. She's going crazy trying to stop Cicada!" Barry said.

"Barry, she wants to impress you. She wants you to know how much she works and how hard." Joe said.

"Hmm. But why?" Barry asked.

"Because your her father. It's different. Fathers usually like to see how good a worker or a kid their child is. And I guess she thinks that about you." Joe explained.

"Huh. Maybe you're right." Barry said.

"I usually am." Joe smiled.

"Thanks joe. Tell Cecile and baby Jenna I say hi." Barry said as he sped out to help his daughter.

Heartbreak.

"Barry? Can I come in?" Asked joe as he knocked on his 18 year old sons door. Becky cooper broke his heart.

Barry Allen was a nice guy. He appreciated many people, and when he didn't appreciate someone, he never told them because he wanted to keep them happy. Barry was usually a happy teen which was unusual with him being bullied all the time because his parents.

Barry knee Becky didn't actually like him. She used him to do her homework. She would come over for a date and end up leaving with her backpack at the west house. Barry didn't want to interfere because he kind of liked Becky.

Iris hated her. She knew her plan and tried to warn Barry. Barry thought she was jealous and ignored her. Now he feels terrible about it all.

"What joe!" Barry Yelled between sobs. "Get away! You're not my father." Barry cried.

"Son, open up the door. I want to talk to you." Said joe as he tried to help.

"Dad I got this." Said iris as she came behind joe and softly knocked on Barry's door.

"Bear. Please let me in. It's iris." Iris said calmly.

Immediately Barry came and opened his door for iris. Joe followed in.

"I don't need to hear your lectures on how "it was never going to last she's just a high school girlfriend" that's not gonna make it any better." Barry cried into his pillow.

"Barry, I'm sorry. I feel terrible. But Becky is a jerk. And you should've known that. She is a mean girl." Iris rubbed his back.

"Yeah son, you'll be okay after this. There a plenty of other girls that want to get to know the most funny, handsome, smart, loyal, and greats guy anyone's ever met." Joe said.

"Thanks." Barry cried.

"I love you for who you are barry, and if she doesn't like you for that, she's an idiot." Iris smiled.

"Thanks iris." Barry said as he hugged iris and cried on her shoulder.
