3rd Person POV

"Y/N, you can't go out tonight, especially with that boy of yours. Besides, it is family game night and it is your brother's turn to choose the game. I think I heard him mention Monopoly?" Her Dad says from the recliner chair in the living room, his favorite spot to sit. He didn't even bother looking up from his newspaper to tell her the information, the same thing has been asked for weeks now. And somehow, Y/N still can't get out of family game night.

"Guess it looks like I'm going to have to cancel my plans for going ice skating with Tom. Thanks Dad." Y/N says in her sarcastic voice. She goes running up the stairs, briefly listening to her Father, but more focused on telling Tom the news.

His face pops up on her small screen, a goofy smile with his curly hair plastered all over the place. That is the boy of her dreams. Y/N answers the FaceTime call and waits for her phone to connect to his phone.

"Survey says?" Tom asks in a hopeful voice and a smile on his face. Y/N gives him a dirty look by frowning at him and shaking her head. "Well, it was worth a shot. We can do ice skating this weekend, but bloody hell does this suck, tonight is the perfect night for ice skating."

"I know, Tommy, I know. Mum's is making spaghetti and Georgie is picking Monopoly tonight for family game night. I wish he wouldn't, that game takes fucking for ever." She runs her fingers through her hair, then walks over to sit on the edge of her bed. "I'll see you tomorrow before school, though. Goodnight, Tom."

"Goodnight, Love." He chuckles, ending the call with the love of his life.

These two kids are madly in love with each other, and they both know it. The only problem is Y/N's strict parents. They don't like her going out with Tom every night, they don't like her seeing Tom, and they don't like that their perfect daughter with a boy like that. A boy so kind, sweet, and selfless. They don't want their daughter with a boy like that. Ridiculous.

Y/N's Mum calls her downstairs for dinner. Her little brother is already sitting at the table eating a meatball with her father sitting next to him. Y/N takes her seat at the table and waits patiently for her mother to scoop some spaghetti into her bowl. Damn does it smell good.

A couple minutes into dinner, the small family goes around the table and talks about their day. This bores Y/N out the most. The most eventful thing that has happened today is Tom and they don't even want to hear about him. So she makes something up about milk going out her best friend's nose at the table. It didn't really happen, but her parents think it did.

"You should definitely bring Ruby around next week, I miss that silly girl." Her Mum chuckles, then wipes her mouth with the napkin and smiles at her family. "I think it is time for family game night!"

"Monopoly!" Georgie cheers, jumping out of his seat and running towards the living room. No even a second later, Georgie comes running back into the kitchen and pulls his Dad out of his seat. "Come on, Slow Pokes, if we don't start now, we won't be able to finish the game."

"Bloody hell," Y/N mumbles out loud once Georgie and her Dad leave the room. Mum gives her a stern look for cursing, but they are British, so she can't help it.

The two females get up from the kitchen and put all of the dishes away in the sink. Y/N will probably have to clean the dishes later, much to her dismay.

"Who turned down the thermostat?" The young girl yells from the hallway outside the living room. She check the small screen for the temperature, and her eyes nearly bulge out of her head when she sees it. "It is literally snowing outside and you have the temperature at sixteen degrees Celsius in here." After clicking a few buttons, Y/N raises temperature in the house and grabs a blanket from the couch to put around her shoulders.

"Took you long enough, Sweetheart," her Father says in a disappointing voice. He always sounds disappointing though.

Georgie starts off the game of Monopoly before Y/N sits down on the couch. The boy is way to eager to play this board game.

The family gets through two rounds of Monopoly when the doorbell rings. "Who would be at our house at this hour?" Y/N's Father grumbles in his chair. He looks over at his wife, then his son and daughter. A glare overcomes his face when he stares at Y/N, and by then, she knows she has to go answer the stupid door.

"Continue playing without me!" Y/N yells right before she answers the door. She tightens the blanket on her shoulder and takes a deep breath, preparing for the coldness outside. "Hello—"

On the other side of the door, Tom in standing there with signs in his hands and a finger over his lips. Once Y/N stops silently laughing, Tom takes the first board off that says "Yell 'it is carol singers'".

"It is carol singers. I think I'm going to listen for a couple minutes." Y/N walks out of the house and closes the door behind her. Tom leans over and presses play on the small radio on the floor. That boy really went all out to make this interaction special.

For the next couple of minutes, Y/N watches Tom move the boards from his arms to the floor. They say all sorts of things like "You are a wonderful human being" and "You light up my life" that makes Y/N blush like crazy. Both kids sense the song coming to an end, so Tom quickly throws all of the board on the floor and throws himself on Y/N to hug her. He plants a small kiss on her cheek, picks up the boards and radio in a messy fashion, and go running in the opposite direction.

"You guys really missed out, they were really good," Y/N says to her family with a smile on her face. Her Mum smiles back at her, happy that her daughter is happy from the nice people outside. Now if they only knew those "nice people" were Tom Holland, the love of her life.
