1st Person POV

From under my eye lids, I can see that there's a bright light in the room. But do I want to check what it is? No. It feels like seven o'clock in the morning, I will not and shall not get up.

One of my eyes pop open to see my phone going off with tons of text messages from Nikki. Look at that it is seven in the morning and— goodness it's Tom's birthday! How could I forget that?

I reach over to grab my phone, finding it very hard to in the first place. My phone shines a small light down to see Tom's face nuzzled near my neck with an arm wrapped around my waist. I'm not getting out of here anytime soon.

The text messages from Nikki are all about begging me to make Tom food for his birthday, but knowing Nikki, she probably doesn't want to get up right now and this is her way of getting me to make food for everyone in the house. Such a Holland thing to do.

I send Nikki a quick message back saying I will go make everyone food after I figure out how to get out of the birthday boy's grip. She sent me back the laughing emoji, Nikki is such a big help.

"Hey, Tess," I whisper to the blue staffy laying on the floor. I pat my leg, getting her attention to come up on top of the bed. That got her excited. Tessa takes a small step back and jumps on the bed. She wedges in between me and Tom, like she usually does, and his grip transfers to Tessa instead of me. Bingo!

Very quietly, I slip a cardigan on and walk out of Tom's room to go downstairs. From across the hall, Sam softly closes his door, but almost blows his cover by jumping ten feet in the air when he sees me staring about at him.

"Y/N, what are you doing up!"

"I was about to ask you the same thing!"

"Well, I asked you first."

"I'm older, you tell me why you're up."

"But I'm younger."

"Sam," I stomp over in his direction as he curls into a little ball on the floor. "Your mom just texted me asking to make breakfast for everybody, happy?"

His eyes brighten, "I was gonna make food too!"

I help Sam off the ground so we could both make breakfast. In the kitchen, Sam began explaining to me how everything should be properly cooked, and to not listen to the box instructions. He also told me how his girlfriend came over last night and we have to make food for her too. That makes seven people to cook for.

While Sam starts to make hash browns for everybody, he put me on french toast making. Then together, we made tea for everybody in the flat. Once all the toast was done, Sam told me to get out a couple eggs, since they are his parent's favorite. No one else in the family likes to eat eggs as much as they do.

"Oh wait, look over the eggs while I go grab something for Tom real fast." Sam left the kitchen, making a sharp turn towards the garage. In five seconds, he returns with a supermarket bag that has food in it. "Okay, so I went to the store last night and bought some candles and a package of croissants. I was going to wait to give him one, but I bought a lot."

Sam puts the bag out on the table and takes out a croissant and a red candle, then stabs the candle into the bread. We set the rest of the plates out and give each plate a slice of toast, a cuppa, hash browns, and a fork. Then Sam put an even amount of eggs on Nikki and Dom's plates.

"So I'll bring up Paddy, Harry, and Tom's plates of food and you'll bring parents and Elysia's food." I push the four plates closer to me while Sam slides his closer to him. "Oh yeah, I get food too." How could I forget! Sam giggles from the other side of the table, so I smacked the back of his head.
