A Lonely Man's Song

Dead men tell no tales,
but lonely ones do,
even if we refuse to know it's true;

Every memory I made with you is now lost in a dream,
I thought we were a good team,
but I guess I was wrong,
now I sing a lonely man's song;

The last time I felt for someone,
I fell hard,
then I lost you,
and then I fell harder;

Love makes you do crazy things,
heartbreak makes you do even crazier things,
this pain stings,
like a bunch of sharp items pinned my heart,
that's how it felt when you tore my world apart;

I sometimes don't even know why I try,
even when I know you just left me alone to cry,
I thought we were a good team,
I guess I was wrong,
now I sing a lonely man's song;
