C.28 "Did you happen to tell your parents that?"

"Ahh Tenya you're back, what took you so long?"
Tenya's mom asked.
"Oh, I see you brought company!"

"Hi Mrs Iida."
You awkwardly smiled while waving weakly.

"Mother, this is ____!"
Tenya grinned excitedly, proudly gesturing to his beautiful girlfriend.

He then placed the packed food on a table.

"Hello ____, is it okay if I call you that?"
She asked, extending her hand out for you to shake.

"It is."
You nodded, grabbing her hand and shaking it.

"You look more prettier in person!
Tenya has told us many things about you."

"M-Mother!"

"Us?"
You raised a brow.

"Oh yes, us! Me, his father and Tensei when he's asleep. Tenya talks endlessly about you!"

"Wow, I'm flattered."
You glanced over to Tenya, simpering.

"Alright m-mother, I think that's a little too much information."
He cut in, embarrassed.

"Oh please Tenya, you're just flustered."
Mrs Iida grinned.
"Anyway, what brings you here ____?"

"I bumped into Tenya at a diner,
we chatted for a bit and he suggested I come visit you and his older brother."

"What a lovely suggestion Tenya, although it's a shame because Tensei is actually with a doctor in another room."

"Why? I thought he was
suppose to be recovering in bed."
You asked.

"They're actually doing another medical check up on him with two other foreign doctors to see if they could do anything to help revive his legs."

"Excuse me,"
Tenya interrupted, something buzzing in his hand.
"Do you both mind if I excuse myself for a moment?
I've got a call from a friend!"

"Sure sweetheart. Go ahead."
Mrs Iida approved.

As Tenya left the room,
you kept on cursing in your head.

You couldn't handle the social pressure, especially since this person was your boyfriend's mom. Awkwardness flooded the room.

Or more precisely, it flooded for you.

"Anyway dear, how has dating
my son been for you so far?"

"It's been terrific."
You smiled.

"Really?"

"Yeah, Tenya's really sweet, understanding and very kind. He's a real gentleman. I'm really lucky to have gotten a guy like him."

"I'm glad to hear Tenya has been treating his girlfriend well!"

"He has."
You nodded.

"You know...I'm happy that Tenya finally got a girlfriend. He's never had one before, always focused on studies and training."
She trailed off.
"Of course, sometimes on the weekends he'd go out with his friends; but it seems that most of the time he studies.
