Chapter Thirty Three

Jake's POV
I woke up hoping it was all a dream but it wasn't then all the sudden there's a sharp pain in my arm where I was shot I groan in pain and hold my arm I look over to see if there's any pain killers but when I look over I see a cop looking at me with a concerned look in his face I jump a little and my first instinct is to put my hands up because you know he's a cop I put my hands up and he looked at me and laughed lightly
Cop-it's ok I'm just here to ask questions it's ok
J-*puts hands down slowly* oh ok sorry
Cop-it's alright, so may I ask how do you know Greg Paul like are you guys related because you have the same last name
J-um yea he's my d-dad but he kicked me out so I know live with Erika Costell and Dan Costell
Cop-ok, what did he do to you yesterday
J-um he s-stabbed me and s-shot me but if my brother Logan didn't come in in time I would have died because he aimed at my head but when Logan tackled him he hit my arm
Cop-ok when can I meet logan
J-he should be coming so- or right now
L-hey Jakey I brought you some starbu- oh um hi *notices the cop*
Cop-it's alright don't be nervous I'm just asking him some questions
L-ok well here is your drink and cake pop
J-thanks
Cop-ok well did anything else happen
J-well he hit me and punched me and that's about it that happened yesterday
Cop-yesterday? Has anything like this happened before
J-well for my whole childhood up until I moved out with Erika I was abused and hit and sometimes he would cute me, and sorry logan I didn't tell you about that he cut me but I didn't want to put more stress on you
L-it's ok at least your out of there now
J-yea
Cop-ok I got my information I need for now and I will be heading out now, oh and going to jail for 5 years
J-*sighs in relief* omg thank you so much sir

We all laugh and talk for a while then we found out I can get discharged I thought I would have to stay over night again but I guess not they give me even more pills to take every morning then I remember I couldn't take my pills this morning
J-Erika
E-yeah
J-when are we leaving
E-in like 5 minutes why
J- I couldn't take my pills this morning and if we don't get there fast enough I will start crying
E-oh shit let's go
L-I would come but mo- I mean Pam is telling me to come home
J-I hope you know you can clap her mom in front of me I won't care
L-ok thanks Jakey I will txt you later see ya *ruffles Jake's hair and walks out*
J-ok let's goo
E-wait be careful I don't want you ripping stitches
J-damn it I forgot I don't think we will make it in time *laughs*
E-probably not well at least I got Dan to tell the school you won't be going but I have to go tomorrow so you will be alone tomorrow

We start walking with my bag and everything we brought and the pain killers I had to take every god d,am morning till the pain goes away we make it to the car and get in then all these thoughts come to mind and they ares as thoughts and I know we didn't make it home in time god dammit
J-babe, we didn't make it home in time *laughs while tears roll down his face*
E-awe baby I'm sorry
J-it's fine I just wished I could control it
E-yeah but it will be gone by tomorrow
J-yeah

I sigh and sit back and look out the window and I watch cars and trees and buildings go by I'm still thinking about sad depressing things then I go to grab my uncles key and it's not there then I start to have a mini panic attack
E-baby what wrong
J-*mumbles while breathing heavily* where is it no no no where is it
E-Where's what
J-my-my k-key
E-oh shit where is it
J-I don't know *cries*
E-maybe it fell off while at the school, want to go look
J-isn't it class time?
E-yea but I don't care I need to find my boyfriends key, I know how important it is to you and we need to find it
J-ok but when I go in I'm a crying mess and Zach is in our class and Tessa (remember Zach was the bully for a while) there's gonna make fun of me
E-babe it's ok they can say what they want we know it's not true
J-o-ok

We turn around and drive right to the school I wipe my tears as more fall I wish I can control them dammit but I ignore it we finally pull in and we get out and Erika grabs my hand and we walk in not to fast because of the stitching on my arm and stomach but not too slow we walk I to the main doors and down the hallway to our classroom that everything went down in Erika knocks on the door and when the teacher opens it he sees it's us and he comes out and closes the door behind him,
Te-hey guys and omg Jake are you ok
J-yeah I can't control the crying it's somthing I take a pill for but we didn't get to take the pill so I'm stuck crying all day till tomorrow
Te-oh wow, so why are you guys here
E-well yesterday while everything was going down Jake was wearing a key that used to be his uncles but he lost it so we were wondering if we could look in here and see if it fell off in here
Te-oh yeah of course and the lights are off because we are watching s movie so they won't be able to see you crying so they won't bug you
J-ok thank you
Te-of course

We go in and all the kids turn there head ps they could see who we were but couldn't really tell I was crying Erika got on the floor and started looking I would hell but I can't make fast or sudden movements without ripping my stitches then Zach yells,
Z-why are you getting your girl to do everything for you man up and do shit, plus why are you here I thought your dad killed you

I ignored him and Erika got up and looked at me with a frown but then she smiled and dangled the key in front of her face I smiled and grabbed it and put it on around my neck and hug her and kiss her I'm smiling now but I still have tears Rollin down my face
J-th-thank you sir
Te-of course Jake have a good rest of your week see you on Monday and see you tomorrow Erika
E&J-bye!

We walk out but I hear Zach yell "how come he doesn't have to go to school and I do" I just laugh inside my head and we head home, once we got there we go into the kitchen and see a note on the fridge

Hey I'm gone out for supper with my fiends and I might not me back till tomorrow to there's already made food in the fridge, love you both

We take out the food and eat it even though it's only 3:00pm once we finish I go upstairs and take my pills and come back down and see Erika has set up a spot on the couch with blankets and pillows and snacks and a movie on I walk over and lay down and she lays her head on the opposite side of my stomach rather then my stitches and we have a movie marathon we end up watching 4 movies and on our 5 one we end up falling asleep
