Health (terrifying)

Hey Dolls
So, I'm in health this semester. At first, the class wasn't awful until I broke myself and found out I had forgotten to turn in my makeup work. He literally counted 20 points off after one day, but I turned that in. Sometimes he would have something due but he'd give us out of class time to finish. Every time he did this, he'd just put a zero in the grade books. Then, when you'd turn it in the next day, you'd get at least ten points taken off. Other than that, the class hasn't been too terrible- until our newest unit. It's literally the HSU(Human Sexuality Unit) on steroids. The first day of this was all about different types of families and they really liked to say that girls who come from homes without a father are more likely to:

get pregnant,
an STD,
commit suicide or cut themselves,
and end up depressed and friendless.

They also enjoyed hitting on the whole: divorced mothers fail financially and are more likely to die too. Now, me coming from the family background that I come from, I was pissed. My mother is the most hardworking individual and even though her pay isn't the best, she stills makes a way for my sister and I to have fun and get ourselves involved with the community and church. My mom spent four months on a custody case last year (around this time) so my sister and I wouldn't have to see my dad anymore. I know I'm not the most optimistic person at times and I don't have a dad, but that doesn't mean I'm going to kill myself or get pregnant. Hell, I hate even looking in the mirror after I shower.

Weird fact: I used to shower in a bathing suit for a while because I was always uncomfortable.

Anyways, now we're learning about STD's or Sexually Transmitted Diseases. This was the topic I was dreading because HSU made it sound awful. Let me tell you, high school health HSU unit is worse.

PICTURES

I was completely horrified when they showed pictures of the side affects that I ended up having to walk (well, roll on my chair because I was sitting outside with my group) away for the images. I honestly am ruined for life after watching that and I know it's only going to get worse. Well thats all I gotta say so...... See ya on the flip side!
