I was in my bedroom watching a K-Drama when I heard the front door open and close. I figured it was my mom coming home from work. My dad was still on his business trip in the United States. He calls whenever he can and if he thinks we're still awake.
I went downstairs to greet my mom and she was in the kitchen making dinner since it was 6 pm. I went downstairs and hugged her, and she jumped a little then she turned around and hugged me back.
"Sweetie, how many times have I told you not to sneak up on me?" She asked, trying not to laugh.
"Sorry mom, I didn't mean to scare you." I said, then went into the living room while she's cooking dinner, then I heard my phone ding from my bedroom. So I went to my room to get my phone and went back to the living room and sat back down on the couch. It was a message from Hobi, whenever he messages me I get very happy and excited to talk to him.
Hobi: Hey Y/N

Hobi: How did your day go??
Y/N: It went well, what about yours??
