Even more poems

Yeah sorry guys, I've fallen in love with writing poems because it allows me to express more things than I can in drawings.

I come from Grandmommy and Poppa Don,

loving, gentle, and caring.

The deep yellow, almost orange carpets, and the peculiar smell of Don's den.

A smell I can only describe as him. Long gone like a passing breeze,

and yet I still feel their love.

I come from Poppy and Goggy,

kind, loving, and quick witted.

I only remember visiting them once during a chilled February,

warmed by the Florida air like a room with a heater.

The joyful laughter ringing around the table of the restaurant.

Too soon the need of returning to the chilled skies is done,

and yet I still feel their love.

I come from Carl,

hard-working, full of humor, and caring.

Always a bright green bottle in his hand or a place nearby.

Always picking on me and playfully teasing me any chance he gets,

and yet I still feel his love.

I come from Shawn,

brave, loyal, humorous.

A subtle chuckling or humoured remark that only carefully listening ears can catch.

Owing many things to him as he is the spark allowing my light of life to be here.

Quick and courageously as a speeding bullet. The shot ringing out loud against fragile ears, then the hit. Allowing my mothers light to keep lit as his dims and burns out.

Gone far too soon like the skip of a lost opportunity,

and yet I still feel his love.

Pretty Lips

Soft and pink,

Like rose petals

gently falling onto the ground.

Quick and sweet, stealing a kiss from them

Just once, allowing the gentle petals to touch you.

She, the rose petal lips attach to her body,

You think it's so beautiful how something so sweet and delicate,

Could be on someone so gorgeous and stunning.

You lay at night, wishing for the softness of a kiss from her.

You think of her and her beauty that she is blind to,

You wish for her to see herself through your eyes and realize,

She has such pretty lips.
