You could feel your face burning, and you hoped you weren't a bright shade of red. You turned your head to the car on your right and was greeted by a bright, shiny smile.
"Ben?!"
"Hey," He said dragging out the 'y' as he waved at you. This spotlight was notorious in town for being extremely long and irritating.
"Where are you going," you called out in question. You knew the light was going to change so Ben just called out, "follow me!"
Kyrie looked at you as if you were crazy to be thinking about following him. She complied obviously. She was always up for a nice dramatic movie moment.
After about 10 more minutes of driving and singing you finally arrived to a cute little coffee shop along the lake. The coffee shop, Common Grounds, had a seated area overlooking the lake. It was a popular spot on the weekends, but it was peaceful for now as students went home or to practice.
"Hey!"
"Hey!"
You two looked at each other for a moment as Ben's friend got out of the car, "Bennnnnn," He groaned, obviously hungry. You knew this boy as Joshua Burrage, because Kyrie had been in love with him for almost three years.
This was going to be an interesting "date"...
