6 months.....I've been 6 months clean since January 10th.
I used to not be able to function without bottles of alcohol, and piles of drugs.
But now, I can't imagine my day not sober.
Everyday I have a group that I meet with, your basic name, problem, and story.
I sat slouching in my chair, zoned out as the voices speaking echoed in my head.
"Y/N." Leader Sam of the group spoke waking me from my trance.
I averted my gaze up to him smiling.
"Would you like to share today?" He asked.
I looked around at all the familiar faces.
"I-I'm good." I spoke shaking my head.
He nodded his head as my eyes moved back to his face.
I gave him one last weak smile before moving my eyes over to an unfamiliar face sitting right next to Sam.
As my eyes landed on his, we made contact.
He looked me up and down smiling then looked away trying not to stare.
My eyes didn't move, I studied his outfit and face.
He had clean brown hair that matched his eyes. He was wearing a brown and blue sweater that fit him perfectly.
He looked normal, he looked sober.
"Tom would you like to share?" Sam spoke.
"Um...sure." I was now staring at his moving mouth, Tom's moving mouth.
He stood up slowly taking in a deep breath before speaking.
"...my names Tom, and I'm alcoholic, I've been an alcoholic for several years now and last year had been my worst. I know I have a problem and I'm here, here to fix it." He smiled again....that smile.
"Thank you Tom." Sam smiled.
Everyone clapped as Tom sat back down.
As he sat down he gazed every once in a while back at me.

"Thank you all very much, that concludes our meeting for today." Sam ended the meeting and everyone sat up leaving the room one by one.
