Linda then took us to a second location a few blocks away, a townhome.

I liked the look of it and there was even a small (very small) fenced in yard in the front.

Inside I liked what I saw.

Wood floors, a big open kitchen that you could see the living room from, lots of closets, stainless steel appliances, and a big mater bedroom and bathroom that had double sinks. There was even two other room that we could convert into an office and have a spare room in case Mila or company came over.

"I love it." I turned to Harry who was milling about behind me.

"It's nice." He nodded, but there was no enthusiasm in his voice.

"Can you give us a minute?" I asked Linda who excused herself from the room, closing the door behind her.

Harry leaned against the bedroom wall, folding his arms over his chest.

"What?" I asked him. "Why are you moping around like a sad puppy?"

"I'm not moping."

"Yes you are. We're trying to pick a place to live so I need you to say something."

"I said it was fine."

"Harry, do you want to live here or not? It's going to be our home. And I want you to like it too."

He sighed.

"Give me some time to think about it."

"Well if we're going to put an offer down we need to do it soon." I said and he nodded before sitting there silently for a few minutes. I could practically see the wheels turning in his head.

"Are you sure that moving in together is what you want to do?" He then asked me quietly.

"Yes." I nodded. "Are you sure?"

"I just don't want this to be a mistake."

"Harry, I don't know the future holds and what place in life we will be in in say six months or a year, but I do know that right now I want this. Do you?"

"Yeah." He nodded slowly. "I guess it's just a lot to take in."

"And I understand that, but you're not in this alone. I'm here too."

I stepped up to him and wound my arms around his waist, resting my head on his chest.
He placed his hands on my shoulders as he exhaled, and then kissed the top of my head.

"Are you ready to go make an offer?" He asked me and I gasped in excitement.

"Are you serious?" I looked up at him.

"Yes." He smiled back at me. "I think this place is what we both want."

I squealed in excitement before hugging him as tight as I could.

"Thank you." I said and then kissed him.

"Well you should thank me like this more often." He smirked before kissing me again but much more passionately.

I giggled but kissed him back, so excited for us to take this next step.

Harry and I getting our first place was not as easy a process as I thought it would be.

Not only did we have to deal with the financial stuff of making an offer and doing the mortgage, the secret service also had to do their security workup, which meant background checking everyone who lived within a five block radius and check the crime records for that area along with scope it out to make sure it was safe.
