"Yeah, Mitch, right now... I know it's last minute! It's birth! Did you expect prior notice? Okay, just get here soon... She's not looking good. This is where Joe passed you know. This can't be easy... Okay thanks Mitch. Sorry again." I hung up on my brother. He was on his way to take care of the kids. I had to be available for Sarah right now.
"Hey guys." I pulled my kids onto the chairs. "Uncle Mitch is going to come and play with you guys while Sarah has her baby, but you can come right back to meet her." I promised.
"Let's head to your room miss." A nurse was collecting Sarah and leading her to a room.
I grabbed the kids hands and followed them.
"Oh is this your husband?" The nurse asked.
"Ah, no he's a friend." Sarah told her.
"Can we accompany you?" I asked.
The nurse glanced at the kids. "My brother's on his way to pick them up."
She smiled. "Right this way."
